I'm not as obsessed with Eunbi's solo as I used to be with IZ*ONE's music, but I still enjoy watching her perform. I have listened to the album more times than I can count and I finally have a ranking for the songs.

Blue Eyes > Amigo > Rain > Door > Eternity > OPEN

OPEN isn't bad, it's just a standard intro song. Not very long, not really any vocals and stand-alone, it wouldn't be interesting at all. As part of the album, it works. I like Amigo because I like Lovelyz, so I'm happy Babysoul got a feature. I would have also like a Chaewon feature, but if the rumours of HYBE turn out to be true, I guess that won't ever happen...

The dancers just come off as a bunch of jealous bitches tbh. Someone needs to give them a reality check and tell them that people pay to watch the Idols not the dancers, the backdancers are (just) scenery to make idols look good.

 

I like that Blue Eyes has become the second song to be performed during promotion, as it's my favourite song on the album. I either have a good eye for popular songs or a really basic, common taste in music Makes life easier though to like the popular things.

Seeing that trailer has made me realise that I wanted to watch the show. Just saw there's already 2 episodes. Subs are available on various websites.

 

mnet is likely rubbing hands and patting each on other the back; most are watching for idols chaeyeon/taeyong and the controversy is getting the show buzz/attention... snakenet edit/scripting.
funfact: the hierarchy of skill goes; main/lead choreographer -> dancers in the crew/group -> dancers teaching idols the moves

 

I've started the first episode and it's unlike any other Korean programme I've ever seen. I'm so used to seeing idol shows and kdramas, that I'm almost surprised how tense and dramatic this is. It's probably the hip-hop influence, but they're provoking each other a lot more and causing drama amongst each other.

 

I assume it's taking from breakdancing where groups battle (all vs all, or 1 vs 1) and the crowd/judges chooses a winner; competitive and about earning respect.
however since it's mnet/reality tv they probably added talking, voting, and random minigames and edited to be more over the top and out of context. (copying their hiphop templates?: Show me the Money/Unpretty Rapstar)
