1) The meaning of "甘い" is not exactly same as "sweet". Especially, it is different when it is used for people. 2) It's used to insist on own opinion softly. For example, AよりBを使う方が好ましい。 (soft) AよりBを使う方が良い。 ↑↓ AよりBを使うべきだ。 (hard)
Not really a translation question but I need some advice from a native speaker. If I write a letter to Asuka and I write もちろん as もっちぃろん , will she understand it (the context should make it clear that I mean mochiron)? And would a japanese person even consider this funny (at least a little bit) or would it be filed under "strange foreign humor"? :roll:
