Well, NCT Indonesia can be a rival to JKT48, GAC too. The same way as a bakso seller, a siomay seller & a sate seller in Blok S can make a rivalry.
That's like treating Kubota as Izusu's rival, kinda pointless business wise. But, yes, JKT48 needs rivals.

Yeah, I think, none of boyband or girlband (assume it's equivalent as CJr or Cherrybelle or below/above than them) can beat JKT48 now. But, JKT48 must fight against another singer or group or soloist that more famous while JKT48 in number "middle". Well, I can say JKT48 is very hard to be crashed although now JKT48 is in "defense era" as JKT48 isn't viral as in the past now and they must protect themselves from haters who wanna JKT48 to be disbanded. Hope RE:BOOST can make JKT48 in gold era again as in the past and make JKT48 can be legend as Koes Plus or it's equivalent or below. I think, what Aki-P make was is on time.
Can we consider Yuiyui aka Pocari 7 as a JKT48 rival now? But when I posted about her on Kaskus, I got a reply that she's whiny (cengok), not as pretty as previous Pocari PR, Yuki Sasuo. Well, let's see what will happen.

Just a jingle, not an actual song for release. The song itself is coming from last year's Pocari Sweat CM series in Japan, it then translated to Indonesian for Pocari7 if the video does not show watch the video here *Pocari7 is using a completely different choreo which is more idol-like dance (duh..)

Do you even realize that the most potential rivals for JKT48 aren't other local idol groups but female professional video game aka esport players. No wonder why JKT48 is making a esport sub unit too. Can actually JKT48 persuade them to join but most of them would reject the offer because they have no interests in singing & dancing tho they have no problems of keep being single like if love ban law also applies to them.

The font itself somehow reminds me of every 48 theater. In any case, I think male groups are hardly possible rival of 48Gs as they mainly occupy other niches and have quite different fanbase.
But, but, but. Somehow it kinda disappointing if the male group is always invited on-air. Especially if it is an Indonesian branch of K-pop group.
Can Hololive ID be considered as JKT48's rival? Hololive creator, Tanigoo Motoaki aka Yagoo said he wanted to create something like AKB48. I think he's the new Aki-P
