And they just said that they're divided by "angkatan" (well, generation?) and still only have 1 "angkatan". And they admire JeyKaTee empatlapan and one of them mention Nabilah. Okay.

A lot of the people under the Johnny's label are considered male idols, I believe, "Johnnys".
They've done collaborations with AKB/AKS-affiliated before, jdrama like Shiritsu Bakaleya Koukou.

(I think Ghaida is a Johnnys fangirl)

feel sorry for those gentlemen in AKM29.. but it's more like a big joke to me..

having 3 letters an 2 numbers on their group name.. even just by that, majority of people will judge them as copycat.. [shock]

and how come mass media already brand them as the male version JKT48?

I can see the business tactic behind the name choice. Male... sorry, MAN version JKT48 sounds better than what they probably are, bloated version of Sm*sh / Super Juni*r.

I think this will end up causing misinformation to come about, the JKT members explaining what is an “idol group” and what differentiates them from “girlbands” is always, they're learning as they go, initially some of them couldn't dance properly, etc.

AMK29... I'm not sure they're following that similar route, otherwise their members would be on average younger.

There's no reason to truly hate AKM though, they're not going to compete for the same fans... nor do they have the presentation and backing of the '48 brand. So yes, I agree with you, it's kind of a big joke... and I kind of feel sorry for the dudes in the group now, they don't know what they just got swept into.

At most, this is 'annoying'... and a chance for the vvota to do something that may reflect terrible on the fandom.

I swear by God, that is the 1st vid I ever saw that having dislike numbers faaar greater than the like numbers..

I even thought that was a lightstick icon, before realizing that it was actually the dis/like red-green bar..

I don't hate them, just feel really sorry for them.. Poor gentlemen (I can't even find one positive comment on that vid)

It's so confusing, some of them put AKM on idol group box and the other on boyband. Well I'm kinda sure they brought idol group because of JKT tho, they seems don't even understand what idol is.
