Today was Yukirin's 31st birthday stage. Here is a really rough translation of her ending speech.

What was your 30th year like?

When I was 28, I said on a music program that I would stay with AKB until I turned 30. As I got older, I was wondering what to do, but just before I turned 30, I became sick, and for the first time I had to take a long break from AKB. Even at 30, there are still many difficult and unpredictable things, but this year I was able to really enjoy AKB activities.

What do you want to happen in your 31st year?

At 31 years old, perhaps there's a feeling like 'She might graduate today', but I really don't have any plans for now, and I'm not particularly thinking about it.
Well, just for now, for today.
I've been given the oppurtunity to produce our Budoukan concert, and we're also preparing the Team concerts and Request Hour, so I'm having fun. At 31 years old, I will continue to pour love into AKB, and I hope to make it a year that myself, the fans, and the members can all enjoy.

Birthday stage message

This was my first birthday stage for 2 years.

First, due to the corona situation, the theater was closed to fans. And even when it reopened, the audience was still limited to small groups. I felt sorry, so I let last years birthday stage go, but many people asked me, 'Will you hold a birthday celebration?', 'I want to see it', so I decided to hold one for the first time in two years.
Seeing everyone in the theatre up close, holding fans and penlights, I realised that even at 31, I was happy to be congratulated.

Well, I'm 31 now, and many people are mentioning my age, especially as it's my birthday. People say, 'Youth is a weapon', but at 31, after being in AKB for 16 years, I also feel that getting older is also a weapon.
I've experienced many things, had many feelings, and I've realised that there are things I can do now that I couldn't do in my teens and twenties.
Being in AKB is fun. I'm a senior member now, but the juniors are considerate of me, treat me as an equal, and look after me. I think it's like this because of the fans who've supported us.

The reason I've stayed in AKB so long, and that I want to be an idol as long as possible, is because I really want to see everyone happy, not because I'm trying to make myself look better.

I want to continue to stand on the stage, and I want to continue being an idol for a long time, so I'll work hard on my other jobs, and create lots of reason for everyone to support me. People tell me, 'I love Yukirin on stage', 'I love Yukirin in variety shows', 'I like Yukirin's gravure'. I hope you'll have many reasons to like me, and to support AKB, from now on.
I'll do my best in my solo work, and other activities, to become an oshi you can be proud of. I'll continue to do my best, so please support Kashiwagi Yuki and AKB in my 31st year. Thank you for your support today.

I think it was a good idea from her to say in the music program back then that she won't graduate until 30, because people stopped expecting her graduation and now even though she turned 31, her presence in the group feels completely normal and it doesn't feel like she 'has' to graduate. and personally I'm glad that she's still here, because I love her as idol, and she is doing amazing as idol in every way, she isn't lacking in anything, she really has her place in the group. and her passion for being idol is admirable! Even now she is trying new things, achieving new things, and bringing great things to AKB. and it's so nice to see her get along with other members who debuted long long after her. From what she said, she isn't thinking of graduation at all, so I look forward to more of Yukirin as idol for the next year too



Also, her letter was written by Yuiyui! This made me happy since they're my two favorite AKB members and I noticed that they get along, this confirms it :3 The letter is really nice and I love what Yuiyui wrote. I agree with her, Yukirin is great as idol and as human being ;w; it's so cute how she called her "Yukirin Daruma" lol and when Yukirin guessed that it's Yuiyui ^^
