Silent Majority gives me goosebumps every time I hear it, it really doesn't matter who performs it (obviously better by the real thing). That it didn't get Japan's Record/Song of the Year is just a shame because of politics (with those lyrics it was not deemed "nice" enough).

 

So... it seems Silent Majority lyrics will be put on high school history books.
I have to admit, this is not something I ever expected lol

Thanks for this. Congratulations especially to Aki_P, Techi, and Bugbear (in that order). The lyrics, performance and song captured something about the state of mind of young Japan in 2016. The idea of being determined not to follow what adults say is revolutionary for all traditional cultures, including the only partly traditional conventional modern Japanese culture. Even more, the lyrics make the point that even adults make themselves unhappy by following the rules but do it anyway. The lyrics may have captured something about the state of mind of Japanese adults, as well.

 

I just found out that during the Sakamichi Group Joint Trainee Tour, my new Nogizaka oshi, Sato Rika, centered Silent Majority...
Is there any footage available?

 

I have been looking for footage of the trainee tour for some time now without much luck. What was most interesting to me was that most of the girls ended up in different groups than the ones whose songs they centered.

 

Indeed, that's true and Sato is an example. It seems to me that she would have been a better fir for Keyaki. And Renaaa would have been a better Nogi due to being stunningly pretty.

Regarding footage of these lives (as there were many appearences in many cities) WHY is there nothing at all?
