I'd be surprised if it took that long. It's gonna have a big boost this week because of the NHS event.

    Probably week 10

As predicted weeks ago by @CutePanda, I believe. I thought it would take longer, if they got there at all. But if they get anything like the boost from this pairs handshake event that they did from the last one, they're in. I believe that huge numbers can get into pairs handshake (National Handshake) just by buying a CD?

    ※志田愛佳、原田葵、平手友梨奈はミニLIVE、握手会ともに欠席とさせて頂きます
Shida Manaka, Harada Aoi and Hirate Yurina will not be participating in either the mini-live or the handshake event.

I guess the six singleton lanes are the members who are most popular in handshake (in Japanese alphabetical order). There are a number of pairs to ponder: Nijika/Monta (two dancers), Rina/Rika (two Tokyoites), Oda/Habu (mature pair), Sarina/Manafi (both love Mary Poppins), Mirei/Paripi (both capable, but so different in style), Takemoto/Nao (two very different kinds of extremely attractive).

But the two lanes that most intrigue me personally are Memi/Miku in 14 and Kage/Hiyo-tan in 15. I think of Miku and Kage as two very quick, clever, nervous, talented members. And Memi/Hiyo as two members who speak more slowly and are unpredictable and a bit nuts. So the Memi/Miku and Kage/Hiyo pairs each balance two styles. I wonder how that will work out. Will the two different personalities get along? I look forward to seeing them paired with the member more similar to them someday: two smart, nervous, quick girls; and two slower-paced, relaxed, crazy girls. But might that be explosive?

In a previous handshake, a mischievous poster posted about meeting Miho and Memi as a pair. He said he asked Miho to say "kissy, kissy," which she slowly did. Then he asked Memi to give a full four-second bow to him. She apparently just stared at him "as if I was kitchen waste." Maybe Memi was letting Miho (and the guest) know that it's okay to reject things you don't want to do.

Sarina and Manafi went to see a stage version of Mary Poppins together:

In her blog, Manafi kind of apologized to Memi for going with Sarina, saying they were together a lot as part of the same team for Hiragana's own stage play, Ayumi, but saying she still was suffering from "Memi loss" because they have been rehearsing and acting in separate teams for the past several weeks.

    Wow, splendid!
Is this the first time a group aged less than five years to have sold 1 million copies? New record for Boss Autumn and Sakamichi and Sony.

:1st: Hooray! It's incredible that they've broken the million-sales barrier so quickly. But these amazing girls deserve it. I can't wait to see how high they'll fly.

All hail Keyakizaka. Hail also @CutePanda for predicting the million in ten weeks. I thought 12 at best, never at worst. Nine weeks! They just keep exceeding my expectations. It's a laugh to see antis in Japan crowing about them being finished because of the general turmoil. I get what they're saying, but turmoil seems to help, as Aki-P suggests.
