I met Komi a little while ago at today’s in-person talks and honestly, she really is the loveliest person anyone could hope to meet. She definitely knew who I was and she was very happy to see me. She asked how long I was in Japan, I said 2 weeks but I’m going home tomorrow. I said I wished I could see her in her new play, she’s a very talented actress. She complemented me on my Japanese speaking, I said I’m trying to learn the language.

Finally she asked me if I’d meet her again in online talks when I’m back home and I promised her I would. Then sadly it was time to end.

I hope I can return to Japan and see her again. She’s not only a very lovely and genuine person but also very, very beautiful indeed. It was the happiest of many happy moments for me of this trip to Japan!
