This is the president of Spain. He always needs translators because he only speaks Spanish. However, he tried to be polite and tried to say 'thank you' in Japanese (at 00:45). Yes, I didn't expect him to pronounce the intonation right ... but that 'gosaimas' ... I couldn't help feeling embarrassed Come on, moron, you only had to learn three words, only three... Could someone translate this? (I'd swear there is a thread about translations, but I didn't find it [think]) Erepyon's fans would appreciate it. [bow] 1%の可能性があるなら挑戦してみる価値はあると思うんだ!ダメ元で何でもチャレンジする。失敗したって次につなげる力に変えればよろし。失敗を成功に変えれるかは自分自身にかかってるんだからね お芝居したいなって思う夜でした(つ ′-′ )
Even if there is only a one percent chance of success it's worth a try! You might as well give it a go and see what happens. If you fail, next time you can change your approach. Turning failure into success is just a matter of having confidence in yourself. I think it's been a dramatic evening. (not sure how to explain 3rd line in English.. literally it says, if you fail, next time its ok to change your bonding strength... whatever the hell that's meant to mean.. but translation is as translation does ^^ that sort of gets the point across.
http://jlptdictionary.com/ Maybe it's easier to find common words using this. I always have problem with full dictionaries in finding the correct Japanese word because they list so many for one English word. http://www.tofugu.com/2010/07/05/typing ... haracters/ It's not closely language related, but using Japanese input we can write special characters easily. for example: if you write ほし you can get these: ☆ ★ ※ * はーと doesn't work for me tho. : (
澤 is not a Kanji included in the list of Joyo Kanji (two-thousand-and-some characters designated as being "regularly used" by the Ministry of Education). Newspapers and the majority of other print publications are following these rules and won't use any Kanji apart from those listed as being used regularly. 沢 is the simplified form of 澤. It's treated as the same character and has the same readings. Usually, names of famous people are an exception and written "correctly". In this case I don't know why it's not written as 澤, but it's still not a mistake. In fact both writings are correct.
Has anyone asked this before: If yes, link me to there (the forum search doesn't found anything) If no, explain please...
Hi, I hope anyone is stillr eading here. I have a question. Because I am going to Japan for some weeks next year I thought it might be good if I refresh my japanese a bit, it's been quite some time I last used it. So my question is. How can I refresh my japanese the best way? Thanks a lot.
Thank you very much for this! It is a great site. I usually get help from a few sites: http://jisho.org/words/ http://www.mahou.org/Kanji/ http://www.romajidesu.com/ http://www.japaneseverbconjugator.com/
What's the best Japanese translation app for Android? I currently use "JED - Japanese Dictionary." For Chinese, there's a great app called "Pleco" and it translates a lot of Kanji as well due to similarities. Would love to find a Japanese equivalent of "Pleco."
Thanks. For a Japanese learning Android/iPhone app, I recommend "Human Japanese." If anyone have other suggestions, let us know.
"Imiwa" is an excellent app. Definitely one of the best dictionary apps. What makes it great is the functions. (ie. stroke orders, conjugations, other compounds, plenty of examples, personal word list, etc). only drawback of this app is that you can't search kanji by drawing it with your finger.
I have a phrase I'm trying to translate into Japanese for Yuria Kizaki's photobook, is there anyone that could help me? I'll PM you the sentence.
I can help you provided on the fact that you are learning Japanese and not just looking for someone to translate for you.
Unfortunately that's what I was intending, so yeah... I don't exactly have much of a practical use to be learning Japanese at this moment; I don't travel overseas or anything.
I don't travel overseas either and I've never been to Japan either Oh well, I guess I can help you out. Send me the sentence, or the entire paragraph with the sentence in it so I have some context to work with.
How do you guys keep motivated? I study two days on, two days off. I'm really bad with learning Japanese.
