The first part of Hoshi no ondo is Kayano > Kayano and Nacchan > Acchan > Takamina. Second part is Takamina > Takamina and Acchan (?).

As requested by GTO several posts earlier, here is "Maria". Since there was an indirect request for "Korogaru ishi ni nare" on one of the threads, I can put that on my list requests to be translated in the future.

So without further ado, here is the translation!

    “Maria”
Original lyrics by Mr. Akimoto Yasushi
    Translation by gideon123

    MARIA MARIA MARIA
Please, let me call your name

    At the distant horizon
    When the long night ends,
I wake up from a bad dream
And the world is born anew
    So many sins
    Does this blue sky
    Forgive

    No matter who,
    A forbidden past
    Is forgiven
    By tomorrow

    MARIA MARIA MARIA
    With tears of remorse
    Shed before me,
    A prayer is devoted
    MARIA MARIA MARIA
Please, let me call your name
    Once more

    No matter the deteriorated soil,
It’s okay if a seed is sown
Before long, if a sprout appears,
A fruit of hope should come around
    Even in this sad rain,
    I won’t abandon
    Heaven’s blessing

    No matter who,
    With a strength to live,
    This road we walk upon
    Is bestowed upon us…

    MARIA MARIA MARIA
    My weak self
    In a forest of seduction
    I won’t stray
    MARIA MARIA MARIA
    Close by, please protect me
    Always…

    No matter who
    With belief,
    The sun will rise
    Today

    MARIA MARIA MARIA
    With tears of remorse
    Shed before me,
    A prayer is devoted
    MARIA MARIA MARIA
Please, let me call your name
    Once more

*TRANSLATOR'S NOTE - I submitted this to haruna_hamasaki for her AKB48 lyrics website, but for those who still haven't seen the translation yet, here it is. I've looked it over several times, and I think it stands up well under scrutiny, though I may make minor changes occasionally without due notice. Nevertheless, if there are any errors, please let me know so I may make the proper corrections. For those looking for the original Japanese and romanji lyrics, you can find them at haruna_hamasaki's website - http://www.akb48-lyrics-paradise.co.nr/

I would assume the second part is Takamina --> Nacchan. As that would fit with Nacchan singing Yuki's lines, and it sounds exactly like her part at the start. It actually sounds like two people singing though, not just Nacchan (both times).

I'm fairly sure it's meant to be Viva. Beaver makes even less sense.

    ^ Yeah.
In addition, "beaver" is "ビーバー" in Japanese, not "ビバ".

I know people hate it when you compare AKB48 to H!P...but...in my own fandom-universe they're related or at least linked, so...yeah...

Anyways, now that I've written my little disclaimer...I really enjoy AKB48's lyrics more than H!P's lyrics...H!P's lyrics stopped making any sense a *long* time ago. I'm just so impressed that each song seems to have its own lyrical quality. A lot of H!P lyrics kind of blend together until you can't distinguish one song's theme/plot from another's.

Also, gideon123, thanks for the translation of MARIA! It's one of my all time favorite AKB48 songs!

Ah...you're right. H!P in my opinion now has gone through some kind of stagnancy. Their lyrics and PVs are all the same, it's hard to distinguish them all right now.

    @genericpaperdoll
here's the translation of Naki Nagara Hohoen de
credit goes to haruna hamasaki and fosensei

    You presented your "goodbye"
concealed in the palm of your hand
(Your) tenderness makes my heart race
    and it warms me.

    If the wind-whirled powder snow
    like our love, it seems
    is melting away
then I want to stay like this forever...

    I'll smile while I cry
    then I'll see you off
    I stop many times
and look back worriedly, but ...
    I smile while I cry
and until I'm used to being alone
I still can't move from this spot...
    I quietly wave my hand
fading memories of wanting to be near you

    I am fighting
    to hold back my tears
    a reasonable future
    intervenes

    The powder snow lightly collects
    on the tree branches
but the weight of (our) love
    doesn't disappear

What is it that I should do?
    At this painful time
    Despite raising an umbrella
a drop of sadness runs down your cheek
What is it that I should do?
    (My) heart is trembling
You are the most important person (to me)
As you walk down a different path
the footprints you leave tell me (that)

    I'll smile while I cry
    then I'll see you off
    I stop many times
and look back worriedly, but ...
    I smile while I cry
and until I'm used to being alone
I still can't move from this spot...
    I quietly wave my hand
fading memories of wanting to be near you

fading memories of wanting to be near you

I wholeheartedly agree with you. AKB's lyrics are really great compared to Hello Projects'. It manages to capture the pop genre essence well, while still being up to date with lyrics relevant to today. While Hello Projects' lyrics are either stuck in 2000 or just don't make any sense at all.

    he helped me ALOT.

    just to mention here.
i'm still working on my translation page.
about color-coding lyrics, i think i'll try my best to put it too.

if possible, can anyone gives a color to each girl.
