All the 16th gen KKS had to pose with the same sailor outfit, and yet a few of them managed to make it non-boring. I love Maeda's. Zukki's has a “fight!” pose that really suits her style, and of course Zunchan's is all Zunchan.

(Satomina's is cool if you've seen the video and know what the doll is about. If you haven't, do yourself a favour and go watch it.)

Here's Maeda's text… it's hard because there's a pun but let's try:
Ima no Maeda wa watashi! “The current Maeda is me!”
AtariMaeda — this is a pun her fans came up with; atarimae means something like of course, naturally.
So the second line can be read of “The Ayaka of ‘atarimaeda’” as in the person the pun is about, or “Of course it's Ayaka”, or, if you treat the “atari” as a separate word that's modifying the “Maeda”, then “Ayaka, a Lucky Maeda”, or “Ayaka, a successful Maeda”.

Clever and complicated to the point of nerdiness, yet funny. That's our Maeda. Atarimaeda.

She's alright in case anyone is wondering, it was just the throat. I'll link the currently-in-progress showroom once it's uploaded, she's talking a lot about it. But she looks and sounds totally normal, so nothing serious.

edit: context she left the 06-07 theater performance halfway “for health reasons”, we had no further explanation until today.

 

The schedule tool in the AKB website says she'll be on AKBINGO today. Eyes open.

Edit: I can't math. Sorry, first week of vacation, kind of lost. Obviously Bingo is today. In a few minutes, as a matter of fact.

She's been polishing up that variety skill on Kimi Dare (not to mention MCs), let's hope the Bingo staff makes her shine. Today could be a turning point for her career.

Edit: although we know they're continuing from last week… so I wonder what the schedule meant? Maybe she'll be in the performance? Anyway probably not going to be that good… sorry for the false alarm.

After watching it — my guess is that she's going to be in next week, and they put this week on her schedule just in case she appeared in the preview. I've seen Manaka in the preview and what looks like at least one more kks outfit so, it would make (some) sense.

I really like Maeda Ayaka, hope she can participate in some special stages like Inoue Yoshimasa and Aoki stages, she will do it great.
