Matsumura Kaori (Kaotan) / 3rd Generation

So, I received 4 reports of posts here by someone today, all of them pointing towards Mano Haruka's posts. I won't delete them now as the reporter suggested since they're so old anyways, but I will say this so everyone, not just Mano Haruka, know how to act in the future.

By the very nature of 2ch, what they say needs to be taken with a grain of salt. They're good at uncovering some things, but at the same time, because it's an anonymous board, people don't need to be held responsible for what they say. That means, lots of rumors pop up on there over time. You're free to discuss what 2ch fans are saying, but if you bring over any rumors, especially very damaging ones like the allegations of escorting, you better have all the evidence and sources to back it up. Criticism of a girl is allowed and welcomed on this board, but unsubstantiated rumors that would cause damage to a girl's reputation are not. At the very least, if you're going to translate a 2ch thread, link the actual thread, and translate what both sides are saying, not just one side (in this case, the side that seems to dislike her). None of this hinting at things and then never explaining it.

That's all I'll say on the matter, but please do keep the above in mind. I don't want more random rumors popping up. Always provide evidence, even if it's just the so called evidence discovered by 2ch, otherwise, no one is in a position to form any opinion on a girl.

I can't wait her solo Even tough if I don't like the song I will buy it because this girl is just the kind of girl I like. Even tough she's not the prettiest, the most talented or whatever she's still here fighting. Maybe people don't like how she act but you know what ? ^ But I don't think she wants to be promoted. I can't think of a specific example, but I believe she's said that she wants to remain a KKS. Even her speech at the election reflects this, as she's encouraging people to look more into the KKS and to treat them more like a team (rather than girls just waiting to become full members). She seems to be doing a lot of work to bring attention to the SKE KKS, which is great.

She is never getting promoted. She is a 終身名誉研究生 (shuushin meiyo kenkyuusei) which means lifetime honourary research student.

She doesn't want to and that alone will make her not make it to SKE senbatsu since they are putting regular members instead. Of course she has a good rank at Undergirls but that's another story.

 

I'm not the biggest Kaotan fan, but she is something to be admired. She's very persistent and her latest blog entry was very well written. Sakaeandfrog at tumblr translated it, so I will post it in a spoiler. Check it out, it really makes you realize how everyone in the group has struggles and obstacles in their paths, especially the KKS and Over-20 members.

Sorry for posting late about

For starter I would like first to express my gratitude (｀・ω・´)

First I’d like to thank all of you
who put in if only
1 ballot for Matsumura.

24th

I’m simply amazed
at this number.

To go from 6,603 votes in early results
to that many…(°∀°)

Last year I went to the elections with a challenging mind,
but this time was the total opposite.
More than wanting to be called,
I kept wishing not to be called yet…

So when I was called in 24th position
I was happy but part of me
was like “Ah, so here is my turn (already)…”
Both feelings mixed inside me.

Last year I didn’t have any such thought,
but when I had almost lose all hope
I was called and received the 34th position,
moving me deeply.

Receiving this number of votes and ranking,
going over all my expectations,
was for me the sign people had
expectations for me for the year which was to come.

I started destructive fires here and there,
I caused trouble and worries to many,
during this one year I acted as a daredevil
but remained true to myself.

When I first stated I wanted to join senbatsu,
it was as a joke.

But my feelings became stronger
and ultimately I was dead set on
making it into senbatsu.

But ranking in the elections
isn’t something I could achieve alone.

It was hard
to announce such a goal
knowing I would burden
all my fans even more.

After announcing my goal, if fans were to get serious about achieving it,
everyone’s lives would be impacted
and getting more difficult, no?

It was the same as saying, though in an indirect way,
“please vote for me”;
thinking so I succumbed to guilt.

It was the same thing last year,
this year again,
and probably next year too.

I don’t think that’s something I can change but
I can’t take lightly any vote when I think about what they embodies
in term of feelings and cost.

I don’t perceive voting as
a matter of course.

I wrote this today because I wanted to
make this one point clear and convey it in the one manner I could.

I was extremely happy when in the early results
I was announced at the 17th position.

At that instant I felt my feelings
and those of the people supporting me
were the same

In the end
I ranked 24th, which is indeed
lower than in the early results,
but it doesn’t matter.

Last year I was 34th
This year I’m 24th
I went up ≪10≫ seats.
That’s the most important.

That’s huge stride,
really(｀・ω・´)!!!

Numbers spoke in those elections.

I’m really glad I decided to run.
I can’t start to express how thankful I am.

I was so happy with all the mail I received,
comments online from the 6th generations and all the KKSs.

There are KKSs who work
even harder that promoted members.

I’ve said it on stage
I’ve said it with confidence
because I’m there, watching them while they give their best.

I really hope the Budokan concert
becomes a plus for them.
I’m well decided on promoting them
through my own works.

Since I couldn’t properly put it into words,
I start to feel sadness winning me over
as soon as I was done.
Did I manage to make if just a little propaganda
for the research students??

In order to advertise the existence of
KKS I really wanted to seize the opportunity of the
broadcasting on TV,
but the CM had to be right at that instant www

Because I was right after Kawaei-chan ＼(^o^)／

Next year,
I hope to be able to dodge the CM (laugh)

I’ve gone from 34th to 24th.
I’m aiming for the 14th position now (｀・ω・´)

I was extremely happy to see that Darth,
who had always made her best efforts without a frown,
managed to enter senbatsu.

I definitely want to see people who give their best
being rewarded.

Just like Darth said,
lately it has been all about “Next generation! Next generation!”

Fundamentally, no matter how desperately
they’ll try to surpass themselves,
members over 20 won’t be part of the next generation.

So when it comes to be tied up to the next generation,
for work, or for senbatsu,
our candidature isn’t even considered,
we’re don’t fit the criteria.

And that’s precisely why we can only
rely on ourselves, on our own efforts,
if we don’t want to be left behind.

Honestly,
I do feel bitter when I see members receiving work
for the simple fact that they’re young
and part of the next generation.

However that’s also what we call timing
and a form of luck.

So it’s something I can accept
and support said members.

It’s not like us members were all following
the same path.
I can be useful in my own way,
and even if it’s not much,
from now I want to lead others.

If (the various group) exist as they do today
it’s thanks to all the members
who are and were once there (｀・ω・´)

I just thought it was something
I didn’t want anyone to forget.

That’s not like me to say thing like that but

Had I been promoted,
I would have probably grow a whole different character
when entering a team.

While becoming a Lifelong Honorary Kenkyuusei
didn’t affect me in the slightest way.

Something like this makes me realize
again how luck and timing
are really amazing factors.

As expected I ended up
Iosing track of what I was saying (laugh).

My solo debut is coming too,
it will definitely make it a fun year,
so that next year everyone deems me
worth of ranking higher than 24th(｀・ω・´)♪

I really want to make it to media senbatsu～

I’ll try to be more level-headed with my G+ contributions,
and polish my image for when
I’ll appear in media (laugh)
