I grew up watching Mexican dramas.

The editing in the drama, or at least the first week is very poorly done. It makes it harder to care for what is going on in the story and the characters themselves. It also minimizes the seriousness of the issues trying to be shown: drug and alcohol use, unprotected sex, teen pregnancy, sexual orientation, and suicide among others.

To say the editing is a Mexican drama thing is absurd. It's bad editing, bad dialogue, poor character development and bad acting.

After the first episode the producer asked on Twitter for people's thoughts. The no.1 response was that the editing was terrible. Other things include the characters are terrible, unrelatable, and most situations like partying as portrayed in the first episode is just beyond exaggerated. Just a reminder, the producer kept and keeps saying this drama is supposed to reflect today's youth issues and be relatable, but the characters are very flat and the setting is unrealistic. So how is this a reflection of today's youth? It's not like someone will say "yeah I'm her/him" or "that character reminds me of someone in real life that I know"

 

In case anyone hasn't heard, L.I.K.E is having its U.S. premiere on Univision on October 14! I'm a teen myself so I wonder what the show will be like, I also can't wait to see Annin!

 

Wait: all those issues in the first week of episodes? I thought they normally show spread out the issues throughout the series, not in the beginning? Or that's just a summary of what will happen?
