i am late to know MIICHAN.

see much of her at the shows? does she sing in the forefront lead vocals, or more in the back?

She doesn't really do the forefront lead vocals. I wouldn't say she is always in the back, but she sure isn't in the front all the time. Watching the DVDs its hard to tell because they show a lot of people just walking around so it looks like everyone is in the front. Seeing it live is different because you see so much more than the DVD shows. I'd say everyone gets there fair exposure in the front. However, it could be just with dancing, and not singing.

Anyway, if I had to put a number on it....I don't really remember her in Stage 3 because I was new to AKB48 at the time, but Stage 4 she was about....35% front. I mean the stage isn't exactly deep, so they're all pretty damn close anyway...lol. In himawari, it's about the same...35%. Then again in her stage songs, like Junai no crescendo (3 girls) and more recently in himawari's "idol nante yobanaide" (4 girls) so yeah...lots of time in the front. Also has a few solos here and there in other Himawari songs.

She's also on the right side more, so I usually try to sit/stand on the right side, facing the stage.

and i am sure that seeing any performer live gives you a different take, a different angle and a different amazing experience that no dvd video will ever provide. I really hope to see them in '08, and i would make a japan trip just to see them in concert, a few times.

btw: what is Himawari? i am still learning and consider myself a AKB newbie.

Miichan is so cute in glasses There's probably plenty more in her gallery.

 

IMO, Mii-chan is really someone that can look better in a casual picture than in studio picture, you can use the last picture as proof.

I really liked this last picture, in fact Mii-chan has just gotten from "out of the radar" to the top 5 just for reading this thread (but since I know like half the cast right now, I can't say she'll stay on the top 5 ). Thank you very much to those that took the time to talk about her, and specially to those that linked to videos so I could see her in action (hmm It's just me or that last phrase doesn't look right?).

I know now that I should start reading random threads in here more than just reading my favorites thread, as there is so much you can gain from reading these. I think I'll read them all now except for Yuko (because having 30 times what the average thread has means that it will be too much at least for me).

She really wears everyday glasses. A bunch of the AKB girls do too, actually. But it's only Nakayan from Team B who wears them all the time, during performances, etc.
