    A pre-event (production announcement) of the musical "King Arthur" was held in Tokyo on August 25th, with the attendance of cast members Kenji Urai (role of Arthur) and Sae Miyazawa (role of Guinevere) (the headline says she fasted so she would look good in the tight fitting costumes)

    Sae Miyazawa debuted as a member of AKB48's second generation in 2006 and is currently active as an actress . She is currently appearing in the special effects drama "Ultraman Decker" (every Saturday from 9:00 a.m. on TV Tokyo), and looked back on her blank period in 2018 when she took a break from her entertainment activities.

    In "Ultraman Decker", Miyazawa plays Sawa Kaizaki, the vice-captain of the expert team "GUTS-SELECT" that fights against the mysterious space-floating object Sphere. She is a solid person who guides the new recruits like an older sister, and she wears her uniform with dignity.

    While she was grateful for the situation in which her performances were decided one after another, she confessed, "There was a time when I was lost and didn't know what I really liked." In 2018, she took a break from performing arts activities because she said, ``At a time when I was getting more and more calls for big projects like musicals, I couldn't stand the pressure. I dreamed of becoming an actor who would act in a play, but I couldn't open up that path...I was worried about what I should do!"

    How did you spend your time on hiatus? ``I didn't think about anything, I ate as much as I wanted, whenever I wanted,'' she said with a bright smile. For Miyazawa, who has been an idol since she was 15 years old, the ordinary days of such a normal girl were fresh. “It was the first experience for me not to worry about the next day, and it was one of the things I wanted to do someday to go on a trip by freely adjusting my schedule with my friends. I was able to experience spending time with my family again before I turned 30.”

    even if i am biased as fck, you cannot really underappreciate how far Sae has made it. Given that she was the "niche idol" within the core group, with limited acting and singing capabilities, and surely not the cutest member, without too much support by her agency (it took her years to find one of the big ones, several years after graduation), she has become a fixture in the musical business and even lands bigger tv jobs from time to time. She is now 32, nearly 2 decades in entertainment, and still is not loosing steam.

    i am proud i have supported her during her idol years. unironically. it wasnt money wasted.

    Also, she has avoided major scandals (the few ones were just nothingburgers), her dmm-page is family friendly, and given that she has not been in any public relationship since her graduation, she might even enjoy a non-mainstream sexuality IRL. Just saying.
