    2 things:

    1) as a Phil-Can, I am happy to hear they like the Philippines (along with Taipei and Thailand)....BUT.... wouldn't new stages for the teams already around be better overall?

    2) knowing back home as I do, I'm worried they could become SCL48 (Scandal48) thanks to starlets who have had affairs / pregnancies with married men and the rampant corruption that exists in all levels of politics.

I'll still support it as so far I've had no reason to doubt Aki-P, but all these dealings in these foreign markets worries me for some reason.

    Let's see...what happens.

    The announcement cut

I don't really know what to expect about this but I got pretty excited when I saw that flag of my country.

Will we see Emily (Sinigang) there with Ate Sayaka?

How about some Kennins or temp. Kennins.

Maybe Sayaka could be a brand ambassador. And since Sae did a program in Thailand once before, maybe she can be their ambassador. Maybe Mariannu for Taipei ambassador?

Vigilance is expected. We back here do not want that to happen, we want to keep the name untarnished.

My thoughts as well! I don't want Filipino non-48G fans to say that 48G is this and that (I think you know the deal, no need to emphasize it here lol) but what's the possibility that they won't think of the 48G (and of us fans) as such? Unfortunately, (not to be pessimistic or anything), but the chances are quite low.

Again, let's see how this works (and if it actually becomes pretty successful in the future).

That's why a.) I want them to start auditions after July 1; and b.) not under ABS-CBN.

Congrats on the team. Good luck with the selections, and I truly wish the fans protect them as best you can!

I'm so excited! However, I'm wondering how many girls will get dismissed after breaking rules (underage drinking, or dating).

Please sayaka come back heh :^O^:

When I first read the news. I was freaking out. As a filipino, I can now have a group that I can understand what they're saying. Also, I also think that there'll be at least one girl who gets pregnant or something. This is Philippines.

Absolutely. What we need is a good team with an open mind, and I really hope we could keep everything clean.

Damn, reading all this post here makes me worried about the countries media as well.
I mean, even JKT doesn't get much benefit from major MNC media, and only recovered when they change partnership.

*shrugs* Even the mothership that is 48G isn't immune, being that it's one of Shukan Bunshun's favorite big targets they want to take down. I mean, it's unavoidable to have media scrutiny.

Agreed, but it helps when there's Maidigi.TV or Jijipress equivalent in Philippines as well.
