Nakano Ikumi (Ikumin) / Team 8

I'm so happy for her! I think she fits well in that song. It's one of my favourite unit songs so I'm really excited about this!

Ikumin is officially part of the 38th Single senbatsu. Announced during Janken Tourney. Will edit with Official source in a bit.

Looks like team 8 is becoming more and more like a long term thing

 

Waaa I'm so happy for her since she's my favourite in team 8!! Hopefully this means team 8 will last longer than the end of this year

 

Ah so this is the ace of Team 8!

 

Guessing this means Team 8 is here to stay.

 

My thoughts exactly. Atleast a select few-ish girls from 8, Ikumin included.

 

I don't think this means much for Team 8 as a whole.

It could just mean... hey, this girl is in senbatsu, go see her in the performances she does all over the country to see why.
She will probably not be part of the media senbatsu, so...

But I do want Team 8 to become a real thing and Ikumin to rule the world from there.

 

Or it could be management saying, "we know Team 8 has girls that are overflowing with potential. This one in particular (Ikumin). And we know there are fans who will want to see that potential develop." I mean, look at us. Thousands of miles away and yet we not only noticed the girl/s we are clamoring for them to be a permanent part of the 48 Family.

Or it could be as you said.

Either way, I am taking it as a good sign that management has a long term plan for Team 8 or some of it's members.

Yaaaaaay I'm so happy for her! ^^ And since she's one of those "future of AKB48" members this must mean she's gonna stay right? I mean why would they say something like this and then say good bye to her?

i love Ikumin, she's my fav Team 8 girl along with Riona (who's sadly will probably be fired after this thing ends)

somehow that bangs doesn't fit for her

 

It took me a while to recognize her.

I wish she'd made the bun (in my avatar) her default hairstyle. She was so beautiful in her theater debut.
