I'm a relatively new ARMY so that number is kind of a surprise to me. I honestly thought TWICE was at the top of KPop idols in Japan.

My fav Japanese idol group vs one of my two fav KPop idols.

This is interesting.

BTS would probably win the weekly charts but i hope NGT atleast in win first day sales.

Still doesn't explain how that DAOKO/Yonezu song got 50+ million views though. Unless it's a different story.

 

Beside Jpop and indie music I also listen to EDM. Now some Kpop groups such as Exo & NCT have their songs sound like if they were produced by Jack Ü. Do BTS songs sound EDM too?

Sorry for OOT, talking about sales of 2nd single of NGT48. It's released pretty close to an AKB48 single. Will it be like HKT48 10th single? Maybe no because NGT48 is in rise & HKT48 is like in decline. I target this single will sell at least 150k copies on first day.

Handshake application has been open. Let's see if Ogiyuka, Hinata, & Marina, NGT48's handshake queens, have good sales like some of last AKB48 singles.

Same reason hundreds of creepy Elsa/Spiderman videos manage to get tens of millions of views in a few weeks on Youtube, every time without fail, despite no one would ever watch them in their right mind.
Gotta agree with Spoony Rice, Youtube views don't reflect popularity, nor can they be used to deny it. They just belong to a separate realm from reality, I might add. It's funny how charts like Billboard even considered it appropriate to factor Youtube views into their ranking calculations, elevating them on the same level of digital and physical sales, when their numbers are actually the easiest to manipulate, risk-free and at literally no costs.

Hinata too. Actually I doubt if they're gonna sell well. Too close to release of an AKB48 single.

Release date is 6/12. I hope they're gonna unveil the song next week.

they usually don't since they tend to sound more hiphop-ish but DNA & Best of Me, tracks from their latest mini album Love Yourself are EDM sounding (well, Best of Me was a collab w/ Chainsmokers so no wonder)
