So I think it's better to describe them all as founding member of NGT48, not first gen of NGT48.

Ogiyuka and Gatanee arent really first gen since they are D2. But yeah, makes no difference lol

 

All current 24 members refer to themselves as '1st Gen' and here we are debating if they are or not. Don't the members know better?

 

I’m kinda disappointed that Rei didn’t get to be center. But I think Hinata will do a good job and she really deserves what she get.

They already shot the MV apparently!

I'm guessing they will announce 2nd gen and team shuffles/promotions in the April concerts, so this might be the last single without team songs (unless they really do go with an NIII song, even though we never really had one in the last two singles). I don't know if I should assume this single will only feature the current NGT members and D3, but what if Kitarie's graduation song has other 48G members she's close with like Sasshi?

also notice that NGT hasn;t had a solo cover yet which I like. Even STU already has one. I like this rotating center.. maybe next is okappa or katomina

 

Katomina fans should really work hard at this SSK for a Katomina-center to happen, cause we've all seen how much the results affect everything. I hope she ranks high

 

I think it's bad that NGT actualy don't have the "face". this makes the group faceless, colorless, pale group without individuality, I don't know how to say it, forgettable. even Ogiyuka success, it's only her success as AKB member. as NGT gtoup ... they are still ...like not formed. I prefer Keyaki success that justice for all. AKB became popular thanks to the originally built image of Acchan(her story and her life)&friens, and after other members became popular.

 

I think the concept with different centers suits NGT more since every center candidate of NGT is able to offer something unique and intresting. Another Ogiyuka or Rika center song for example wouldn't make me as excited for the next single as I am now.

Really don't agree with your opinion that this group is "faceless, colorless, pale group without individuality." The total opposite actually considering how much personality this group has with many faces worthy to represent this group as center, which is why NGT management decided to run with this strategy. Keyaki don't have that as Techi is far above the others in that group so they can't even switch center once even after said member totally hates doing idol stuff and looks unmotivated.

 

But to the (Japanese) general public, NGT48 is leaning more towards what STS described as "faceless, colorless, pale group without individuality." But of course as fans we know of their personality. While Keyaki, the members themselves are more leaning towards bland personality, but their image as a group is very well established at this point, with a "face".
