Generation NMB48 8th Generation

I watched the 8th gen intro video the other day! I'll give a short opinion on each girl from what I saw and what I understood ^^
Someone in the Youtube comments wrote the time for each member so I'll rewrite it here for anyone who would want to see a specific member's part.

4:00 Kuroshima Sakura (Sakuchan) - She's cute and I liked her drawing! Kojirin was really happy with it too lol.
6:11 Ike Honoka (Hono) - Her special skill was random (princess/bridal carry), lol. I wonder, is she the girl who centered in the 11th anniversary live?
12:07 Sakashita Mako (Makochi) - She looks like STU's Yumirin to me (also some people find her alike with Saito Asuka). She's nice!
15:49 Sakata Misaki (Sakatan) - I like her special skill with the hula-hoop and the shirt, she failed it once but did it well after ^^ and if I remember her from the Showroom, she's the one who was using a lot of make-up and circle lenses? I think she looks better now, maybe she uses less make-up (and also no filter), she should try a more normal/natural look.

19:52 Sakamoto Risa (Risa) - Her special skill (eating lemon) is Miorin's thing, I can't help but think about her haha. and it looks like she was hurting her teeth XD She's cute though.
23:19 Sakurada Ayaka (Ayapyon) - I think they should have let her do more sewing at the back, like how Sakuchan got time to do the drawing. We didn't really see much from her...
26:56 Takahashi Sae (Sae) - Probably the most popular girl since Showroom auditions. She looks good!
29:29 Tatsumoto Yayoi (Yayoi) - I like her! Her special skill is finding presents for others, but it's always sleeping-related gifts? lol, she wants everyone to get a rest, she's thoughtful haha. She did some flexibility moves, and the member that she admires is Anju, that's nice! with 8th gen joining, 7th gen suddenly look more mature like older sisters :')

37:06 Tanaka Yukino (Yukino) - She looks cute. it took time to do the origami lol.
42:04 Fukuno Ami (Ami) - Her special skill was ??? lol but I like the little discussion she had with Rei with their fake language, did they actually understand each other or? XD
45:41 Matsuoka Sakura (Sakura) - I feel bad for her because she keep failing her special skill (jumping ropes and saying something at the same time) >.<

50:34 Matsuno Mio (Miochi) - She's nice! Apparently she wrote a little song specially for her intro and everyone was impressed by the title, lyrics and how fast she wrote it. She did well!
53:48 Matsumoto Mihina (Mihhii) - Didn't see much from her, just that she's good with memory. ^^;
57:48 Yamamoto Hikaru (Pikarun) - She's cute! and she has dimples ^^ I like her nickname Pikarun (the best nickname imo it's really cute). it looks like Rei liked it too haha.

Before watching this, the ones who got my attention were Sae and Makochi. Now after seeing the intro, I also like Yayoi, Pikarun, Sakatan and Miochi! Sakuchan and Risa were cute too.

So far everyone is nice, I found some members that I like but I don't really have a favorite or a ranking yet, I'll watch their other videos! and I'm looking forward to their theater debut!

 

I watched episode 1 of their documentary (it's on a few posts above). The first half is about their auditions! Some thoughts/infos on some members:

2:25 Ike Honoka (Hono) - She said that when she saw Milky, that's when she thought that she wants to become an idol.
2:47 Tatsumoto Yayoi (Yayoi) - I think she said that she easily gets nervous? (hands shaking etc.), and she wants to be an idol to be more cheerful.
5:46 Matsuno Mio (Miochi) - She said that she likes and admires Yukirin since 10 years ago o_o! and that she went to her handshake event when she was in elementary school, and how Yukirin was cute and pretty. Miochi cried when she talked about this, not sure why, maybe she wanted to become idol since that time and it didn't work until now? or she's just nervous...
7:10 Sakamoto Risa (Risa) - She's kinda funny lol with her hair all over the place, I thought that she would sound tired, but instead, she sounds full of energy XD
9:16 Takahashi Sae (Sae) - She said that she wants to be an idol who also does variety, like Nagisa. I think she said something about how being kind to people is important to her.




I didn't comment on all members, please watch the video to see more of them ^^ then the second half of the episode is with only Takahashi Sae. She read fans comments and answers:

- At the start, I think she mentions something about her face being different than in the Showroom auditions? and she hopes people keep supporting her. I'm not sure, but this might be about how Showroom has filters that make the members look different. I wish there wasn't that feature lol. Besides she looks fine the way she is, she's cute!
- She talked about how she cut her hair since the auditions. I think she looks good with this shorter haircut! She also tried doing her imitation from the audition again, but she failed, lol.
- Someone thanked her for coming to NMB. awww
- Her goal: For now, she can't do much yet, but eventually she wants to enter the senbatsu and appear on various music programs, and she will do her best.
- The member that she admires is Shibuya Nagisa.
- She talked about her auditions and then their lessons, and how she was picked as center for Yume wa Nigenai. She said the teacher was strict, and that was a good experience for her.
- Her close friends in 8th gen: She talks a lot with Miochi (the girl who composed a song) and Ayapyon (sewing girl).
- Her rival in 8th gen: No one in particular, she said "everyone" and she said that she wants to get along with others.
- Someone asked if it's ok to call her Toriten-chan (the nickname she had during Showroom auditions) and she said that it's fine to use it.
- Her favorite NMB song: She talked about listening to W1N-C and Kyunmart performances, she likes when the song "Hatsukoi Shijo Shugi" was performed. She likes many other songs.
- Someone asked why her nickname is Toriten-chan, she said that it's because she's from the Oita prefecture. [Toriten is a fried chicken from Oita prefecture]
- Someone asked if she knows Murase Sae, she said yes.
- She has an older sister who is giving her advices, for her blogs? She said that her family looks at her blog posts, and it's embarassing for her. She thinks a lot before writing her blogs!



I like Sae a lot more after seeing this! She's really cute :3 if anyone else is watching the show, please comment your opinions too \^o^/

 

Ah, thanks but I was thinking of the other performance that they did with the ~100 candidates back then (it was at the 11th anniversary), there was a girl at the center who got some attention at that time, she was doing audio-only Showroom. I just searched in the thread again and I found a link, this live! The #66 girl. I looked again, I think it's Honoka indeed ^^
