I genuinely believe Nogizaka46 will snatch this year Nihon Record Taisho!

 

What's the standard to win this? Cause Da PUMP's song was much bigger in Japan.

 

I always keep thinking that the Japan Record Awards are '#rigged'...

 

just entering the nomination has been very proud.

 

I dunno, just have feeling that it will go to Keyaki this year.

But the actual strongest one is Da Pump's USA

 

I feel Nogizaka46 is the favorite, but anything can happen - this year's JRA could be wide open...we'll just have to wait and see.

I'm surprised DA PUMP's U.S.A is nominated.

 

I'll be real, Da Pump's song makes me cringe.

 

Tbh, i don't know anything about Da Pump so i googling about their song. It says on the Japan Billboard U.S.A's peak was rank 2 while Sinchronicity's peak was 1st.
So, what make their song much bigger?

 

I don't think it will be Nogi again this year, even though Synchronicity deserves it.

 

Will it tho? Glass wo Ware sold better digitally and yet Ambivalent was nominated. It would make more sense for the former to win so it makes me doubtful Keyaki might win.

I can’t imagine anything beating synchronicity. Only USA has a chance and if anything I think it’s too much of a joke to be seen as “legitimate” by the record association.

 

Synchronicity should get the award, anything else apart from that and USA would be shocking

 

im not really sure but probably they led advantage by airplay - again not really sure how award thing work in that regard, only put that as consideration -
That cringey usa was kinda viral song type of stuff. Also its get more publicity boost as "comeback" hit from the group.

I just looked at some of previous winners, and from what i know there isnt so much place for meme-tier song on the list

It's likely in favour for "normal" song like synchronicity. Dont mark my word.

 

AKB received the award in their 5th and 6th year. It'd be nice to see Nogi got another for their 6th, after one in the 5th, too! The group's being just as popular as AKB in their prime (domestically)
