Maaya.. Lol, I always cry when I see people or characters crying on TV. I'll miss them, but like others in this thread, I'm pleased with the second season regulars. Can't wait for this month's episode!

I have a feeling that the idea of Nogi Eigo is popular in the US comes from Nick (of which he got from the guys at Slope Podcast).

Well we should thank those guys at the slope podcast. Maybe by befriending Nick, they’ll convey how popular Nogizaka is outside of Japan and Asia. Then maybe... a tour outside of Asia?

 

Numbers don't lie. That youtube video from Neko JGT is a very strong proof considering that it got 5.4M views despite being uploaded 3 months ago.

the show seems to be popular in the US . and Nogizaka finds themselves getting fans through this as well.

Sad to see the original members go, but I thought the graduation episode really gave a good send-off of what the last couple years provided. It hurt a little to see Maya hold together the entire way and then break down at the very end. I do like the new main cast though so I'll look forward to see how the "2nd Season" goes. I'm sure they'll do great.

I'm excited for the Hawaii special too. I've always liked seeing how well idols handle using English in another country.

 

Got to see the last episode late... Aside from the graduation stuff, I like what Sakurai said after the second game ended.
Kind of similar to what Nick said in the podcast. Hopefully the 2nd season can continue for long like this one.

 

watched the Hawaii special, was pretty good. makes me want to go to Hawaii. good to see them have some fun while "working". Maichun will be one of the new regulars , looks like she'll probably improve

 

Glad they got to film that safely, considering recently Hawaii just stroke by volcano eruption.

Well... it's not really promoted as NogiEigo special though... I think more like, NogiEigo production team is hoping along on this trip.
Even in the promotional, NogiEigo sign is very small.

No need to worry about active valcanoes since they were on Oahu and not the Big Island. Was surprised they got to go to Kaneohe Bay sand bar. I remember my mom taking me there as a kid. It's really nice and peaceful especially if you have the place to yourself. Anyway, they are having fun and look forward to the cntinuing episode.

 

not really a special for Nogieigo. i think after they filmed this, they decided to make it a Nogieigo filler due to the fact that they used English on occasions. the commentator for the Hawaii special is the same one as the Nogieigo and sort of like a background/review teacher to them on 2 occasions(How do I get to ~ and We enjoyed the meal very much) for this part(1 of 2).

 

Just watched it, and yeah, almost no English at all in this episode. Hahah...

That being said, I really enjoyed it. Although I must say, it's a shame that the original NogiEigo trio didn't get the chance to go there.

 

Just watched and I had to laugh when they played the southern gospel song "In the Highway, In the Hedges" from the O Brother Where Art Thou soundtrack when Sakura was behind the bar with the fire breathing bartender, the most random and non-nonsensical song choice I've ever heard on NogiEigo.
