    It's plum blossom season:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Ume says she couldn’t get by without SNS.
-Ume chooses her furniture and appliances based on outward design, not function. Her favorite appliances at home are her oven and toaster, which are both Balmuda brand.
-Shinuchi wants to buy a water dispenser so she can stop stealing water easily drink hot water in the morning.
-Ume’s dad turned 47 a few days ago, which is close to Himura’s age, 48. Ume still doesn’t know what birthday present to send him. She says he likes surfing and cars and is mischievous.
-The week’s listener mail topic is dreams. Ume had a dream today where she cried. The members were traveling on the big bus, but Ume was being excluded by everyone else and felt lonely. Then she woke up sweating.
-Last week, Shinuchi had a nightmare where she told the manager that she seriously didn’t want a scene on Koujichuu to be broadcast, but they broadcast it anyway. She thought it was all over for her. Then she woke up.
-Ume only eats carbs in the daytime, and only eats rice on cheat days. Shinuchi laughs that Ume’s like an Instagrammer, talking about “cheat days.” Shinuchi’s also dieting until the 2ki Live.
-Shinuchi is grateful to Animal Crossing for allowing members, esp. kouhai like Renka, Tamami, and Kaede, to meet up last year during the stay-at-home period. Shinuchi recently turned on her Switch for the first time in months to play Tetris. It was daytime, so nobody was logged in, but then Renka came online to play Splatoon. Shinuchi was embarrassed to be seen playing an old-fashioned game like Tetris, but she didn’t know how to hide her online status.
-Shinuchi used to get 2nd place in Tetris 99, although she’s out of practice now and can only get to the top 8.
-Ume says she cries after waking up from sad dreams, which Shinuchi has never experienced. When traveling on the bus, quite a few members fall asleep and then wake up startled, like Ume when she dreams of falling. Matsumura mumbles in her sleep.
-Shinuchi visualizes herself in the third-person, but when she becomes aware of it in a dream, she becomes frightened.
-Shinuchi says quite a few people in this line of work (presumably show business) have a supernatural sixth sense. Ume says when she was little, she could see things or people that others couldn’t. Shinuchi and Ume get creeped out and quickly change the subject.
-Ume plays a nostalgic song that her dad used to play, Seamo’s Mata Aimashou.
-When Shinuchi was little, she had a recurring nightmare that she was a member of Morning Musume at an onstage Live, but she didn’t know any of the dance moves. Ume has those kinds of nightmares now, where she’s told to perform a Live without rehearsal.
-Ume’s dad follows all her activities. He praises her and tells her not to mind the negative parts.

Incidentally, Ume said on their recent double Showroom that Shinuchi is the only member who says Ume is easy to talk to.

    Maaya is this week’s guest:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Maaya’s high school required her to dye her hair black. On her graduation day, she dyed her hair lighter again after the ceremony.
-Maaya has been taking 46°C baths lately. She was originally bathing in 42-44°C water, but she got used to it and heard that hot springs go up to 46°C. Shinuchi tells listeners not to try this at home.
-When Maaya visits Shinuchi’s or Kazumin’s place, she’ll ask to use the bathroom to remove her makeup and wash up, but sometimes the bath feels too comfortable so she’ll stay inside for a long time. Shinuchi has done the same thing at Manatsu’s house, staying in the bathroom for 2 hours.
-Shinuchi has noticed that whenever she or other members visit each other’s places recently, they always go home without staying the night. Maaya says she saw (ex-member Noujou) Ami-chan sleeping on Kazumin’s couch recently, but Maaya and Shinuchi agree they’d rather just go home to sleep.
-When Maaya first came to Tokyo, she was very homesick and cried all the time, but when she discussed the topic in the media, she only mentioned that her parents cried, because she didn’t want her parents to worry even more about her. Shinuchi says she hasn’t felt homesick even once in Nogi. Shinuchi says Ayame seems totally fine about it, and Sakura returned quickly after going home in January. Shinuchi and Maaya agree the 4ki are strong and don’t seem to get homesick.
-Audrey’s Wakabayashi-san (Hinatazaka MC and ANN host) came to the Nippon Broadcasting studio during last week’s Nogi ANN to greet Shinuchi and give her a big box of chocolates and a t-shirt, although they couldn’t meet in person since Shinuchi is broadcasting remotely. Apparently it was to express goodwill because Wakabayashi appeared on the competing Yamasato Ryota no Fumou Giyon radio program which airs at the same time as Nogi’s ANN.
-Shinuchi has been admonished by both Manatsu and manager-san not to hang her clothes up to dry at home, because of the risk of crime.
-After Maaya’s previous ANN appearance when she said that boys who squish up bread and eat it in one bite are cute, fans at her online meet-and-greets have been squishing up bread and eating it in one bite. Because of the short time limit, they’re not able to say anything afterwards.
-At 1:08:03, Maaya recounts how a person once saw her in the street and asked her if she was Maaya-chan from Nogizaka. She was embarrassed to be seen without makeup, so she panicked and tried to pretend she was a foreigner by saying “Hello!” in English. Shinuchi cracks up at how idiotic this is.
    -Maaya plays Yoasobi’s Encore.

    This week's guest, Yoda is:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-When Yoda moved to Tokyo at 16, her little brother was 12. They get along better now, but they used to get into physical fights, which Yoda would win because she was bigger at the time.
-Yoda appeared on the Ame Talk variety show this week, on an episode where guests with no artistic talent drew pictures. Yoda is bad at drawing from memory, but insists she’s very good if she can draw from direct observation. Shinuchi is skeptical.
-Yoda and Shinuchi say that members’ regional dialects usually aren’t detectable when they speak politely. They say Momoko’s Kagoshima intonation is cute. In the past, Yoda practiced the Kagoshima intonation and Momoko told her she was good at it. Shinuchi says Riria doesn’t speak in an Okinawan accent and Kubo doesn’t speak in a Tohoku accent. Yoda says Kubo’s white face fits Tohoku’s snowy image.
-Yoda says she unexpectedly hasn’t felt very homesick in the past, she was more impacted by other feelings of anxiety.
    -Yoda has a Roomba.
-Yoda eats sour cream-flavored potato chips on rice when she wants to reward herself.
-Yoda’s been eating the same breakfast every morning: natto, mekabu, grapefruit, and raw horse. She’s been eating it with garlic since her mask hides the smell, probably.
-When Yoda lost her keys in middle school, she had to get into her house by a ladder to the 2nd floor. Nowadays her key is fastened to a strap in her bag, so she’ll never lose her key unless she loses her bag.
-On the topic of when it feels difficult to ask questions, Shinuchi says there are broadcasts where the members get professional makeup, and broadcasts where it’s okay do your own makeup or wear your own clothes. But sometimes it’s not specified which on the schedule, maybe because somebody to forgot to write it. At times like that, she’s not sure whether to ask a manager. She used to always ask (ex-member) Ito Karin-chan for her opinion. Yoda says when that happens, she’ll put on light makeup first, but she doesn’t know who to ask either, there are lots of managers and they’re busy.
-Occasionally, the schedule isn’t sent to members even by the time they go to sleep the night before. Some members are willing to ask about it on Nogi’s full-group Line, but Shinuchi and Yoda don’t dare. Shinuchi says that at times like that, she’ll ask a friendly member if they’ve heard anything, but Yoda says she can’t even do that and will just wait for it.
-There are also times when a member’s name regularly shows up on a schedule and then one day it doesn’t. It’s uncomfortable to ask whether it’s a mistake, since they likely just weren’t chosen to appear.
-Yoda’s randoseru backpack was tattered because she played rough as a kid.
-Yoda’s friend Mishina Ruka from the idol group The World Standard had her birthday on March 17. Yoda plays her solo song, Sayonara, Watashi.

Hori’s final radio appearance as a Nogi member:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Hori wants to travel with the 2nd gen after coronavirus conditions improve. Shinuchi wants to visit Hori’s family home in Gifu prefecture; Hori offers to be a tour guide. Shinuchi asks if Hori will keep them updated on her address as the years go by, but Hori playfully gives a halfhearted response. Hori says she’s bad at keeping in contact with people.
-Hori is glad she picked this time to graduate because many people are also moving to new places and new jobs. She’s reassured that she’s not alone. (Japan’s school year and fiscal year start April 1.)
-Hori says she’s felt various emotions at Lives before, but she hasn’t emotionally crumbled or exploded. She’s looking forward to her final Live with her beloved 2ki, but she feels like her emotions are going to explode when it happens. She has to be careful about her snot coming out.
-When asked about memories that stand out, Hori says overseas jobs. They’re unexpected and precious memories that she looks back on in photos.
-Hori and Shinuchi shared a hotel room in Paris. They bought cheese, but discovered that the hotel room had no fridge, and the cheese started to stink. Hori brought the cheese to (ex-member) Misa’s room and asked if Misa wanted any, but she declined. So Hori asked the hotel staff if it was okay to throw it in the lobby trashcan and they said yes (Hori speaking English: “Cheese in, okay? Thank you.”).
-Hori says she tends to cry not for herself, but when she feels other people’s emotions. Shinuchi says that means Hori might cry tonight. Hori jokes that she’s going to ignore Shinuchi.
-Hori enjoys waking up before her alarm clock rings. She likes living efficiently and doesn’t like wasted time. She often wakes up when it’s time to go, even if she forgot to set an alarm.
-At 26:35, they dance as Kimi ni Okuru Hana ga Nai plays.
-Hori’s graduation will be the 8th anniversary of the 2nd gen passing their auditions. From 14 members down to 7.
-Shinuchi and Hori describe each other not as rivals but as comrades-in-arms (戦友).
-Hori was recently interviewed by Bubka magazine. The interviewer asked Hori’s opinion about how Shinuchi doesn’t talk much about 2ki. Hori replied that Shinuchi intentionally doesn’t talk much about 2ki. When Shinuchi read the interview, she thought, “How did she know?” Shinuchi starts crying and says Hori has really become an adult. Shinuchi says even though she was the oldest 2ki, she felt like she needed to become friendly with the 1st gen. She relied on Hori to lead the 2nd gen, and is relieved that Hori understood. She says it was a tough interview question, but Hori has always protected 2nd gen members. Hori is glad she could be a support for Shinuchi in the end. Shinuchi gratefully says that if you don’t express things in words then they won’t be conveyed to people, but Hori says that what’s visible on the surface is not everything.
    It’s around 34:45. There’s also a transcript here:
    http://nogizaka-46bunno1.blog.jp/archives/84326497.html

The implication is that people thought Shinuchi is distant/cold with the 2nd gen, but she’s actually friendly with 2ki, she just mentions them less in public. I haven’t seen the interview and Shinuchi doesn’t explicitly give reasons, so there’s room for interpretation.

The comments in the link above land around the idea that being friendly with 1st gen was Shinuchi’s best way forward as an idol. Associating more with 1st gen = more exposure and connections, since there was/is a divide between 1st and 2nd gen in terms of work opportunities and social cliques. I suppose you could also say Shinuchi felt the best thing she could do was build a generational bridge, hoping the rest of the 2nd gen would strengthen themselves, but in the end, management still didn’t give much attention to 2nd gen.
-Hori says she doesn’t like to expose her weakness or emotions; she tries to hold back from crying in front of the camera. Over these 8 years, she’s become strong and is now able to think about other people and their problems; she’s become an adult.
-Shinuchi plays back number’s Sister, which she sang with Hori when they attended a back number Live together.
-Hori says she once worried over the question “What’s your favorite food?” for a year.
-Although Hori owns lots of cosmetics, she uses all of them until they run out. She can’t think of anything that she doesn’t use until it’s used up.
-At 1:11:50, Hori says she originally wanted to work in childcare/nursery and was seriously attending a school for childcare workers. Shinuchi drily says "Idol yachattane," which is hilarious and roughly translates to “You messed up and became an idol.” Hori says she’s now believes it's good that she became an idol; Shinuchi agrees and says being an idol suits Hori.
-Hori plays Mr. Children’s Kurumi. She likes the MV.
-Hori monologues from 1:44:10. She’s become an adult over these 8 years, but parts of her are still a child. There’s pain and frustration in any job, and life won’t go as you expect. Honestly, she wanted to do more activities with the 2nd gen. For her graduation, she won’t forget those feelings, but she’ll pause them, and from March 29th, she’ll move forward as Hori Miona into her career in theater, etc. When she fell or felt troubled, fans paid attention to her and supported her. Although she stood onstage as an idol, her character isn’t idol-like and she spent these 8 years as the same Hori Miona she was born and raised as. When she got hurt, often self-inflicted, other people affirmed her honest self, so she’s grateful to them. What comes to her mind the most from these 8 years is people’s warmth. While she needs to be strong by herself and continue onward, she’s full of gratitude for people’s warmth.
-Hori plays Tsumetai Mizu no Naka.

Hinako is this week’s guest, replacing previously announced guest Saya:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Shinuchi simply said at the top of the show that the guest was changed to Hinako, so Saya and her scandal were never mentioned. (See the Kanagawa Saya thread for details)
-Fuwa-chan visits the studio from 3:10 to 10:40. She’s an entertainer and Youtuber starting a new ANN radio program in the timeslot before Nogizaka’s ANN. They banter a bit about variety shows and hair.
-Hinako says she watches about 13 hours of Youtube per day. She mentions various entertainment channels (Comdot, Mizutamari Bond, etc.) and gaming channels (Kio, Toshizou, etc.) she watches. About 5 years ago, she was wondering why Ikoma-san was watching Youtube so much, but now she’s totally hooked.
-Shinuchi and Hinako discuss various Youtube videos they’ve seen, including Sashihara Rino’s makeup tutorial, Shiraishi Mai’s ASMR, and Ito Karin’s off-day routine.
-Hinako says the 2ki Live still doesn’t feel real, it feels like a dream.
-Junna was in charge of everyone’s hairstyles.
-Discussing the Live songs, Hinako says her favorite is Kimi ni Okuru Hana ga Nai. Shinuchi really wanted to perform Nichijou, she practiced it the most and rewatched it 10 times afterwards.
-They say the blue dresses at the start of the Live were cute. They were made (based on Hori’s design) by Onai Kimika, who designs many Nogi costumes. Hinako says her outfits are stylish, cute, and easy to wear. Shinuchi says if she was reborn and became an idol again, she’d want to wear Onai-san’s outfits.
-2nd gen members have fewer opportunities to receive tailor-made outfits, so it’s a special occasion when it happens. Ranze’s dress for the Japan Record Award’s Synchronicity performance was so slim that no one else can fit in it.
-Hinako plays a relaxing song for the nighttime, Bump of Chicken’s Nagareboshi no Shoutai.
-They start dancing to Nichijou at 1:44:00.

Rika is everyone’s favorite subject this week:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Rika transferred in her senior year from Iwate Prefecture to a Tokyo high school for students in the entertainment industry, so she graduated with a bunch of unfamiliar classmates.
-Rika says she’s not skilled at studying, but she studied hard for tests because she was thinking about her future and her transcript. She worries that she should’ve had more fun, but Shinuchi says there are risks to having many friends as an idol.
-Yuri’s college classes were online, so she’s looking forward to in-person classes this semester.
-Rika hears all about college life from a friend whom she’s known for 7 years.
-Rika had a part-time job at KFC, where she once dropped a cake in front of everyone during the Christmas rush. Rika is curious about Shinuchi’s job at McDonald’s, and they get into a long discussion about staffing and working conditions, like how drive-thru customers get angrier than dine-in customers. Both Rika and Shinuchi prefer the “crispy” flavor KFC chicken, which was provided at the Birthday Live, but Nogi members line up by seniority, so they ran out of crispy by the time it was the 4ki’s turn.
-Rika says she’s bad at closing screw caps. She didn’t properly close a bottle of skincare oil and it spilled all over the cosmetics in her bag. She drinks a lot of coffee and similarly spilled coffee on her textbook in high school. She also loses the caps to her water bottles. She misplaces things easily.
-Shinuchi and Rika both had school friends who were passionate about idols. Rika first learned about Nogi from Seifuku no Mannequin and gradually became a fan. She used to wait for new MVs to drop between her classes.
-Rika has an older brother whom she doesn’t talk to much. She would’ve liked an older sister to teach her about fashion, etc.
-The 4ki stayed overnight at the hotel to shoot the Out of the Blue MV.
-When asked what was surprising about Tokyo, Rika says lots of pigeons, lots of trains, and how busy people are. She says rural Iwate doesn’t have pigeons, although there are crows and tanuki. Shinuchi warns Rika not to walk in areas with lots of pigeon poop, or she might get pooped on.
-Rika sings the Iwate Denki commercial jingle at 1:24:16.
-Rika has received clothing from Rena, Ranze, and Kubo. 4ki also buy things for her on credit. Rika wore Ranze’s one-piece dress to her graduation ceremony since she didn’t have her new school’s uniform, but the dress was short-sleeve and didn’t fit the weather so she feels embarrassed looking back on it now.
-Rika was in cheer squad (ouendan) in elementary school, but she injured her middle finger by smacking her arm against a wall while cheering.
-In Rika's first year of high school, she went on a trip with her mom to Tokyo, where she was captivated by a song playing on the big screen in Shibuya, BiSH’s Promise the Star, which impacted the rest of her life.
-They dance intermittently to Out of the Blue from 1:49:02 to 1:53:30.
-This was Rika’s first late-night job; she’s grateful. Shinuchi has barely talked to Rika before, so she’s glad they could talk.

Thanks as always to Gofindnova for the excellent summary.

If anyone is wondering about the Iwadate Denki jingle that Rika sings at 1:24:16 - it's from an old commercial for the local electricity company that was broadcast in Iwate prefecture at least ten years ago.

The full TV version is on YouTube. I extracted the audio of Rika's charming rendition as an MP3 here. Just don't complain to me when you find yourself singing this fifty times a day for the next few weeks.

    More Momoko!

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Momoko says it feels like summer already. The two most heat-sensitive members in Nogi were Momoko and Miona, but now that Miona’s graduated, she can no longer help Momoko in the group battle to control the air conditioning temperature.
-The heat during the annual Summer Tours is harsh, esp. during outdoor rehearsal. A few years ago, Momoko overheated during the tour and had to get an IV infusion, but she can’t stand needles so she was crying in the hospital in front of children.
-During a recent coronavirus test, Momoko was crying and had to be held down by Renka while Ume performed it on her (sounds like an antibody test with blood from a fingerstick). Momoko overheard a manager beforehand saying, “Don’t tell Ozono it’s a needle test,” since everyone knows that Momoko will freak out.
-When Momoko’s informed of an upcoming physical exam, she’ll start feeling psychosomatic pain in her shoulder where she expects to get poked.
-Momoko enjoys the sensation of feeling cold.
-Several members have ordered home deliveries of yukhoe from the last Koujichuu, including Momoko, Shinuchi, and Hoshino.
-Momoko doesn’t talk to neighbors in her building because she’s concerned about safety; her voice is very recognizable.
-At 57:45, when asked which musical artist was popular at her school, Momoko laughs and says it was a naughty (yancha) artist so she can’t say it on the radio. Shinuchi liked AAA (Triple A).
-The first Live Shinuchi ever attended was for the teen idol group Pipo Angels. When she mentioned this before, Konno-san remarked that he managed Pipo Angels. A radio listener writes in to say that the Pipo Angels song Luvly Merry-Go-Round was also composed by Shiraishi Satori, who composed Synchronicity.
-Discussing how you can see children walking to school around Tokyo’s red light district Kabukicho, Shinuchi accidentally remarks at 1:12:54 that there are “a lot of people wearing randoseru” in Tokyo. This phrasing implies adults wearing randoseru rather than children, which makes Momoko laugh until her stomach hurts.
-Momoko sings the Taiyo supermarket jingle at 1:28:43 and the local Kagoshima song “Chawanmushi” at 1:29:43.
-Momoko plays a song that kids in her 3rd grade class sang to make the rain go away, the children’s song Niji.
-When Momoko first came to Tokyo, she used to always get lost in Tokyo Station when meeting up for work, and would phone manager-san while crying to say she’s lost.
-Momoko says her hometown is near Sakurazaka member Ozono Rei’s hometown. She’d like to talk with her but hasn’t met her yet.

Umezawa is this week’s guest, replacing previously announced guest Sayaka due to scheduling issues:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Ume’s hometown is in the coastal Shōnan region of Hiratsuka City in Kanagawa Prefecture. Whenever she returns, her parents want to do everything for her so she doesn’t need to do anything.
-When Ume was young, her dad used to wake her up at 4 AM so she could sleepily accompany him to surf at the ocean.
-Ume’s peers are entering the workforce, so adulthood is on her mind recently. She’s wondering if she should erase childhood habits. Shinuchi wants to stay beautiful as she ages, so she intentionally smiles even when she’s alone. When Ume goes to bed, she puts a towel blanket under her chin to prevent neck wrinkles.
-Ume has had part-time jobs at a family restaurant and at the Japanese patisserie chain Châteraisé. At Châteraisé, she wrote the messages in chocolate on the chocolate nameplates on cakes. Writing a simple “Mama” (ママ) or “Papa”(パパ) was fine, but sometimes she was asked to write “Manager” (監督).
-Ume recently ordered delivery for a cup of banana juice. Shinuchi says that people who use Uber Eats for a single drink are aristocrats.
-Shinuchi is skilled at swirling ice cream due to working the soft serve machine at McDonald’s. She recently helped Manatsu swirl her ice cream at a churrasco buffet restaurant, and received compliments for it.
-The only skill Ume says she became good at from her part-time jobs was counting money.
-At 1:23:57, Ume demonstrates how people in Kanagawa end questions with “be” and add emphasis with “ja ne.” Ume thinks it sounds fine for men, but she wants to fix her own accent. She’s jealous of members with accents she thinks are cuter, like Yoda’s Fukuoka accent or Momoko’s Kagoshima accent.
-Ume says people with car license plates from the Shōnan region are slightly smug about it, and Shōnan has the top “rank” (as in social status/prestige) in Kanagawa.
-Ume plays a song she loves, Mukai Taichi’s Hero.

The videos from the Ikutaalien channel are down again. I updated past episodes, but the timestamps will be inaccurate.
    * * *

Kubo is this week’s guest, broadcasting remotely under Tokyo’s 3rd state of emergency:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-There are many pheasants and tanuki in Kubo's Miyagi prefecture hometown.
-Shinuchi says when she first moved to Tokyo, the Nogi staff handled her gas and electric bills. When she moved into her own apartment, she had to handle the payments herself, and they sometimes got shut off because she forgot.
-Kubo has a minimalist approach to home decoration, though it may partly be laziness: she kept her table in its cardboard moving box for a long time. She only has two chairs, but she has a piano and piano seat where friends can also sit when invited over.
-The most frequent visitor to Shinuchi’s home is Matsumura, who tends to sit on the floor even though Shinuchi has a sofa.
-Kubo doesn’t buy many clothes. She feels like she should buy more and better clothes, considering she’s a model for Seventeen magazine. She usually buys them online or in Shinjuku.
-The members recently had to travel a long distance early in the morning to shoot an MV. Everyone wore nice casual clothing, but Kubo was embarrassed to find she was the only one wearing a plain jersey, so she was the first to change her clothes for the MV. Shinuchi says she didn’t notice and that she also sometimes wears jerseys on trips, but Kubo says the senpai’s jerseys look nicer. (The Japanese loanword is “jersey,” but it’s more like tracksuits.)
-Kubo wears jerseys outside the house, which is why she doesn’t dare shop in fashionable Shibuya. She basically doesn’t wear makeup on her days off either.
-When Shinuchi says Kubo is no different (i.e. still beautiful) without makeup, Kubo responds that a 3ki got angry at her recently, telling Kubo that she shouldn’t be happy when people say she’s no different without makeup. The 3ki member said the point is not that they’re being complimented for being cute with no makeup, but rather, that girls who use makeup have the privilege of being told they’re cute without makeup, so Kubo should throw away the naïve idea that she’d be forgiven if she didn’t put on makeup in the first place.
-Kubo started making her own nukazuke 3 weeks ago, particularly pickling lots of okra.
-Kubo and Shinuchi continue their argument from December about the best kind of natto.
-Kubo is nervous about Night is Short, Walk on Girl in June, it’s the first stage play she’ll perform without other members.
-Shinuchi enjoyed playing the cheap 10-yen games at dagashi stores when she was young.
-Kubo sings the York-Benimaru supermarket jingle at 1:10:44, the Eidai House real estate jingle at 1:12:55, and the Yagiyama Benyland theme park jingle again at 1:14:04.
-Kubo is listening to Angerme’s Uraha=Lover because she’s friends with a member of the group.

ANN is back, with a guest from out of the blue:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Last year, while cleaning the house, Seira’s mom discovered a letter that Seira wrote when she graduated from middle school, addressed to her future self in 10 years. Seira says it was a troubled time for her back then, she didn’t have many good friends. She wrote the letter with the hope that she’d be enjoying life in the future, and to tell her future self not to feel regretful even if she failed. Seira forgot that she had written the letter, and cried when she read it.
-Seira wanted to have a part-time job before she joined Nogi, but her high school prohibited it. Some of her classmates worked anyway.
-Seira practiced one-on-one with an instructor today, so she danced for 3 hours straight and she’s tired.
-Continuing her plant stories from previous ANN visits, Seira says she put memorial flowers around her dead apple mint plant, but she can’t bear to throw it away, so it’s still next to her TV. When Sakura visited Seira’s home recently, Seira apologized for letting Sakura’s saffron bulb die.
-Seira and Manatsu both recently bought cacti to raise at home. Seira’s cactus became so dry that it broke apart when she touched it. Manatsu said hers is growing very healthily.
-Regarding the 4ki Live, Seira says it was lonely looking out and seeing no audience. She says it was wonderful to feel the history behind the senpai’s songs, but there was also big pressure.
-Shinuchi helped teach Seira the dances for Barrette and Psychokinesis no Kanosei.
-In Osaka, the Close Door button in elevators is often broken because people push it too much. Seira says she’s also impatient and pushes it fast. Once, during a morning shoot in Kyoto, she joined Miria in an elevator and was bothered that Miria didn’t push Close, but she held back because Miria is a senpai and had pressed the floor button for Seira.
-Seira finds it mysterious that neighbors don’t greet each other in Tokyo, and it’s lonely that people often don’t know who their next-door neighbors are.
-Seira is bad at waking up in the morning, so she listens to Kiki Vivi Lily’s 80denier to get herself moving.
-Seira’s first impression of Shinuchi was watching Shinuchi fix her makeup behind the scenes before the Christmas CDTV performance of Kaerimichi. Seira says it was the first time she had ever met someone dressed all in white, seated and staring into a mirror. She thought, “This is a show biz celebrity.”
-Seira’s first impression of other members: Momoko and Asuka were nestled up and talking to each other, Hazuki proactively started talking a lot to Seira, and Manatsu kept encouraging 4ki that things would be okay.
-Regarding her 1st senbatsu, Seira was happy, but after the announcement, she felt uneasy about whether it was really okay for her to be here. She wants to grow to have more confidence.

Junna and Miria guest after announcing their graduation:

if the video does not show watch the video here
-Junna received her first salary at 13 or 14 years old, and started managing her own money in high school. Miria’s parents still manage her money and give her pocket money, though they place no limits on it. Miria has never lived alone.
-When buying clothes, Junna doesn’t ask for others’ opinions.
-Miria started cooking at home and has discovered the joy of family saying her food is delicious. Junna has been making avocado toast.
-Shinuchi asks how long the two will stay. Junna: end of August. Miria: end of August or September.
-Junna and Miria rehearsed the Under Live today. Shinuchi asks if Hazuki cried, but they say Hazuki held it in, it was actually Maaya who cried “Waaah” the most.
-Members do Nogi photoshoots far in advance. But Junna says her photoshoots have ceased, she won’t do Halloween or Santa costumes this year, which made her feel, “Ah, this is the end.”
-Junna says the Sabita Compass MV will make you cry. Junna and Miria were paired together during the MV shoot. Miria says watching the MV changed her impression of the song and made her like it.
-Shinuchi says she won’t cry tonight because Junna and Miria are graduating a while from now, plus they’re not talking one-on-one. (Shinuchi is unexpectedly correct.)
-Discussing fun memories, Junna recalls how she agreed to vacation in Korea with Shinuchi and two of Shinuchi’s friends, despite never having met the friends before, and they got along great. Miria says she couldn’t have done that.
-Miria remembers how the 2ki once planned a 2nd gen party on the 2nd gen’s anniversary (3/28), but only Miria and Shinuchi showed up at the restaurant. Junna and Hinako arrived in the last 30 minutes, but everyone else canceled.
-Shinuchi wonders if the 2ki can meet up again next year. She wonders who would organize the party; Junna and Miria both respond Karin (ex-member known as the 2nd gen’s coordinator). Junna says the 2ki don’t have friends (lol), so they’ll be very happy to see the other members again.
-Junna informed Karin about her graduation before it was announced.
-Junna and Miria’s simultaneous graduation was a coincidence. They just happened to build up to the decision and discuss it with staff at the same time. Then they decided to synchronize, since quickly graduating one after another could inflict more damage on fans.
-Shinuchi wonders if 2nd gen songs can be performed with 5 people. Junna and Miria say yes they can. Junna says Shinuchi can join the Border unit.
-Discussing more memories, Junna recalls how Shinuchi kept messing up part of her dance during the rehearsal of Anastasia for the recent 2ki Live. During the actual encore performance when Hori was receiving her emotional surprise, Shinuchi messed up again while crying heavily, which Junna found hilarious.
-Shinuchi recalls how they received a new Harujion outfit with white high heels that were painful to dance in. Shinuchi and Junna laugh about how Shinuchi once jumped too hard during a performance and couldn’t move into her next position after landing on the heels.
-Discussing memories, Miria says that whenever and wherever Nichijou starts playing, Shinuchi always moves to a location where she can sit and watch Miria dancing, which makes Miria happy. The time that made her happiest was during a Summer Tour Nichijou performance at Meiji Jingu Stadium. Usually, members backstage can only watch performances on the monitor, but Miria was astounded to see Shinuchi go up onstage and sit in an inconspicuous corner to watch Miria. During the recent 2ki Live, Shinuchi was the quickest member to memorize Nichijou’s choreography, in 30 minutes, because she’s watched Miria so much and wants to dance like her.
-Junna plays a song she encountered on the internet that electrified her, Mayumura Chiaki’s Obaa-chan ga Side Throw.
-Miria plays a unit song from her favorite Love Live idol group, Aqours’ Tousou Meisou Mobius Loop.
-When riding the Shinkansen, Shinuchi often sat next to Miria, who always fell asleep. In a Nogi survey today, Shinuchi wrote that the 2ki who falls asleep fastest is Miria.
-Junna’s message to listeners starts at 1:24:07. She says her graduation doesn’t feel real yet, but her 8 years in Nogi were really great, being able to meet the members was huge, and she otherwise wouldn’t have had a chance to talk to so many fans. She and Miria will begin a second life at ages 22 and 21. Shinuchi interjects that that’s when her own Nogi life started, so Junna says everyone in Nogi had various starting lines, and theirs started from ages 14 and 13. Junna wants to do new things. Everyone may feel anxious, but it’d be good if they can watch over her with warm feelings.
-Miria’s message to listeners starts at 1:26:03. She says she’s never hated Nogi, her 8 years were full of nothing but fun memories, interacting with members and staff. For her normally shy self, the members gave her the most fun time. She regrets a little that there’s no chance for handshakes or Lives to meet fans, and graduating without greeting fans again is sad. She remembers their conversations, and says that members are probably more concerned about fans than fans think, like wondering whether a fan passed an exam or found a job. There are still 3 months, so it’d be nice to meet again, but even if not, the Under Live or this radio program can remain as memories.
-Karin tweets: “I’m listening (lol) The moment we can gather together, I’ll organize the 2nd gen party #Nogizaka46ANN”

I don’t know, I was surprised she started her message that way too. She didn’t mention disliking Nogi or being unhappy anywhere else in the program, so I can only speculate based on the circumstances. The words she used were hontou Nogizaka wo kirai ni natta koto ga nai 本当乃木坂を嫌いになったことがない.
