    The promo was also really good. They had a great SNS campaign for it, unusual for idols.

    edit: some more context.

    181k would be decent week 1 sales for HKT48 and decent total sales for NGT and STU.

    Who ever came up with that twitter campaign I hope got a huge raise and a promotion because it was brilliant and very viral. That chin in hand thing was just too cute. Also, it was so successful it seems they're trying to replicate it with the other Nogi twitter account for the Bday live.

    That's one reason. It's like tons of behind the scenes shots of our favorite idol group. Also, it's not just one member, but all members. I think that attracts the casual fan who may not be interested in only one member.

    It's not just pictures too. Like what you can see in all the tables, people are interested in things like who took whose photos and what the captions has to say.

    You'll learn a lot about the group's relationships from this book.

    It's an extremely large amount for a photobook that isn't very "adult" but not unthinkable.
    Nogizaka's Youtube has 750k subscribers.

    I wouldn't be surprised if some GP bought this but it's definitely more a gift for the fans.

    ^ Nogizaka's Twitter has 1.4 million followers, though I'm not sure how much is 'fake' (heard Twitter is trying to cut down 'fake' followers, targeted at high-profile acts).

    They zooming straight past Maiyan’s book. The collective strength of Nogizaka46 is something to behold.

    At Shibuya Tsutaya, there were nogisatsu panels on display, and many girls were taking photos.
    The large sales is probably due to also many girls are buying it too

    I have plenty of photobooks with bikini and lingerie shots, I recommend this over any of them. For one, it's the only one so far I keep going back to.
