Actually I think most of the girls in this unit have fans with big ambitions for election, so it's not super surprising. Renacchi has to prove her rank wasn't just a flash, Kojimako was really wanting to hit Undergirls last year so her fans will be driving hard this year, Yuria could possibly make senbatsu with her big push and so many spots open, Jurina is heading for #1, Sakura for kami 7... it's just not great timing, really.

I think the single did fairly well for what it is.

The bolded part is self explanatory. They have gimmicks just like 48 groups. That's why I said NyaKB has a good chance of weekly #1.

Singles don't sell that well when they are made for gimmicks with anime, i remember when Akb made a special Unit to sing the 2nd ending for Dragonball Kai, the unit consisted of Atsuko, Minami, Yuko, Mayu, Haruna, Yuki, and Tomomi, pretty much the kami7 of AKB (minus Mariko) plus their sub-groups sold pretty well, so you would think they would sell amazingly. But overall the sales were underwhelming in the end.

Yeah, the single market this week is highly volatile... In fact, there's another anime single that is #1, but ironically, the label of the #1 daily single as of now is King Records - AKB48's label...

Not at all. this is a one shot subunit. This single was released right before election and not long after the last single release of 3 of the groups - the 4th of which is releasing one soon. Overall its just not that important.

I was talking about AKB, SKE, and NMBs singles that came out recently and HKTS that's coming out soon + people saving up for the election single.

LOL~ the dance is funny, but still cute. I seriously only bought this because I had extra money and thought the song was super cute (I actually like it too; it's catchy).

 

Um no, not at all. This is not an AKB48 single, so there is no comparison to what that would look like without gimmicks. This is just a simple little tie-in song with an anime. It would be like looking at a team surprise single or something like that. Not even close to a real AKB48 single. Do you really think sales would drop from 1 million to 25 thousand?
