Yea, Book-Off pretty much only has the latest book/magazines on AKB. CD's are mostly second hand as mentioned and pretty much no DVDs at all. Althought i saw one Stage performance dvd like a month or two ago, but that's pretty much it for any AKB video related content... :(

The 2008 NHK Hall Concert right? It's still there when I went last week. It seemed quite expensive even with the 50% off summer sale.

I was surprised they carried the UTB magazines though; a lot cheaper than Iwase books when they were still around.

^Sigh Iwase Books...it was pretty awsome while it lasted, but they barely carried any AKB related items compare to what Book-Off has.

Went to Book-off today after school and they had the AKB ga Ippai dvd ($55) and blu-ray ($70) in stock; speaking of which, is anyone up for trading photos/BLTs'/cards. I'd love to trade locally since I don't trade online =)

should totally lobby them to invite an akb48 sub-unit or a sister group
(i don't think it's likely that a first time con could get the main group)

Hi all. Previous lurker here on stage48. From Toronto. Currently at karaoke and heard people singing to AKB songs. Feels good to hear other people singing to them when I can't. Nice to meet you all.

For those who are looking for AKB48-filled fashion magazines etc etc etc. in Toronto, a place that some of you might of heard before called J-Town sells latest issues of whatever there is. Latest issues cost about $20 while old ones cost around $10-12.

Located at Steeles and Woodbine, beside Don Valley North Toyota.

Hello everyone~~ I'm from North York, Ontario....really surprising to see there are actually many fans of AKB in Toronto..LOL..always thought there are only a few. Sigh. It is such a low chance that AKB will come to Toronto...I think the closest they will go to is the US... ...after hearing the news that they are going to Washington...i really want to go see them...T^T

LOL it costs about the same/or cheaper to fly from Toronto to Tokyo than Washington DC...the choice is obvious :awesome:
Why go to where AKB48 is going for like a day when you can go to where AKB48 IS!! :awesome:
