Suyun I also like Japanese songs such as "Petergius" and "Dry Flower" by Yuuri, "Lemon" by Yonezu Kenshi, and Yorushika.

Our activities in Japan were planned early on, but were delayed due to the Corona disaster. This time, from June 29 to July 3, which was during their visit to Japan, an exhibition event "Rocket Punch Park" was also held at Laforet Harajuku, Tokyo, where visitors could enjoy the group's world view, etc. They also held a mini live performance, and finally performed in Japan for the first time.

Dahyun: I was happy to finally be able to meet you and see how happy you all looked.

Sohee Japanese fans are all very kind, and their reactions are cute. Everyone was saying how cute and adorable they were.

Suyun I was impressed that many of them spoke to me in Korean even though they were in Japan. They would say things like, "You look beautiful," or "I'm so happy.

In Korea, where all six members live together, Juri speaks in Korean and the other members speak in Japanese, thus improving each other's language skills. Thanks to their efforts, they were able to conduct almost all of the interviews this time without the need for interpreters. The six members seemed to be in a good mood with constant laughter.

Yunkyoung: Each of the six members has his or her own personality, and when they become one, they create a synergy that is six times greater than the sum of its parts. That is what we want to show everyone.

Juri In Korea, it is common for the whole group to live together. We go to work together and come back together. It has been three years now. We have our own personal time, but the place is the same. （Dahyun wakes up early (laughs). She always wakes up early and leaves early.

The name of the group means "a fresh punch that flies in the face of boring everyday life. They have appeared on many variety shows in Korea, entertaining viewers with their special skills. Perhaps due to their training, the official profiles show that each of the six members has a slightly different skill, such as "mandarin orange peel art," "winking speed," and "turn that way and hoi," among others.

Juri: I do my special skills in accordance with the latest trends, so they change from time to time (laughs). I learned Korean by making a lot of mistakes there. Yeonhee and Sohee can imitate Anya (from the anime "SPY FAMILY"), which they show to their Japanese fans.

In honor of the group's name, we also asked them about their recent "punch" episodes.

I did a jigsaw puzzle for the first time in a long time. It was a puzzle of game characters.

Juri: Sohee likes "What's Your Name? I bought a puzzle of it in Korea and put it up in my room.

Yeonhee: This is a little different, but there was a day when it rained in Japan. I didn't have an umbrella, so I ran with a bag I got at a convenience store on my head (laughs). It was a yellow bag, because it was a cute color.

Juli: That's from Don Quijote, isn't it? Everyone in Japan knows it when they see it.

Yeonhee That's a little embarrassing (laughs). But I didn't recognize it, so it's okay (laughs).

Before heading to Korea, Juri was also active in AKB48 as Takahashi Juri. The other members of the group knew a lot about AKB48. In addition to Takahashi, there were other members who crossed the sea, including Miyawaki Sakura (now LE SSERAFIM), who was in the same 48 group, HKT48, and they are still in contact with each other and working hard on their activities.

Juri: (Miyawaki and I) keep in touch. We have always been good friends. She is very supportive, and I can sympathize with her, and there are difficulties that we Japanese members can understand. She is an important friend.

Fiore is a song about a man whom a woman has feelings for. Juri also talked about the differences between Japanese and Korean songs.

Juri It is well known that the content of training is different between Japanese idols and K-pop, but I felt there was a big difference in the lyrics expressed in the songs. When I was a Japanese idol, I often expressed the real preciousness of my school days and girls who didn't seem to exist. That was popular and attractive, but the songs you encounter in Korea are really all "Look at me! (laughs). It was difficult at first because I had to give the impression of being confident. I couldn't express just my everyday self at all. I had to be confident in myself and have a visual that everyone would be satisfied with. Japanese idols also need to work hard in a different way, but now that I am here, I understand why there is more training than in Japan, and I am having a lot of fun learning about what goes into the image of K-pop. There is no end to the effort.

Suyun It is definitely totally different. I have the impression that Japanese songs use heartbreakingly sad lyrics.

In the future, the group will begin full-fledged activities in Japan and other countries. Finally, I also asked them about their goals for the future.

Dahyun: I would like to participate in a music program in Japan. I think that our distinctive singing and dancing, as well as our teamwork, will show in our performance.

Sohee That's right. I still want to do more concerts and fan meetings where we can meet our fans.
