Glad someone posted this. I saw the news last week, but I couldn't find it. Support your Under members!
An article about the program appeared on Modelpress. I don't have time to translate it all, but I did the last part which are comments from Denchan and Hazukichan. Comments after the recording Sato: As someone who played badminton during my student days, I was deeply moved to be able to meet the godlike Shiota-san!! The “women talk corner” at the beginning of the recording was lighthearted yet exciting, but when going to the gym hall, wearing the outfit and holding the racket I thought “Woooow! Is this a dream!?” (laughs). It was also the first program with just the 2 of us, and I was anxious that we had to fill it all ourselves. But we had lessons to prepare for the quiz, and while I was studying, I felt excited (laughs). Mukai: It was very enjoyable! Although I have been playing badminton for two years during my student days, I didn’t know much about it but this time I learned various things through the course of the program, and now there is one more sport I can do! I met Shiota-san for the first time, but seeing one of the players from the Ogushio-pair right in front of me... I also received a smash from her, which was a fantastic experience. - What do you think is the charm of Badminton? Sato: Recently, I record and watch the Uber Cup (Tournament for women), and before I went to see a Nihon Unysis game, and was very impressed by seeing Takahashi Ayaka play… With badminton, you use your physical strength, but also your head... there are many things you need to think about. Therefore, it is a very difficult game, but it is very rewarding. Mukai: This time, I learned about a lot of rules and techniques for the first time, and it is a more difficult game than I had expected, but on the other hand, you can still enjoy it without knowing a lot of it, which is a unique charm of badminton. Sato: Certainly, through this program, I experienced the charm from beginner level to the top level players, and I wish to see the matches between the world’s top players on television. All the players from Japan, please work hard to obtain a medal! I am supporting you!
Denchan's badminton show preview. https://twitter.com/sakamitizuke/status/1017869691409199104 She looks pro already. I wouldn't be surprised if she has a real badminton team.
Trying to figure out this push. Is it deserving? Or is it just that 3rd Gen is too strong? Man 3rd Gen has a deep bench, and management really are working overtime. I wonder what 4th Gen is gonna get? BTW, I hope the show is entertaining.
I don't consider this a push. Both Denchan and Hazukichan played badminton before, so it is a logical choice. Also, I'm not sure this will be a show that will entertain many. If you don't like badminton, it'll be boring very quickly I think.
Denchan and Hinachima will participate in "Women's Journey", an event from Thailand tourism ambassador. They will come as Japan representative. It will be held in Thailand on August 12th. https://www.thailandtravel.or.jp/news/36051/
