Hinana was in SR on Wednesday evening when the earthquake struck, she reacted in a way you'd expect from her (from 1:22:45 to when the broadcast was terminated at 1:25:39, credit to uploader):

(just to add that I've never yet had an online talk with Hinana but with Komi withdrawing from the event on 6/11 I've switched instead to her for the slot I had, hopefully it should be good fun!)

 

A few excerpts from Hinana's birthday speech:

Everyone of my generation has graduated, and I'm being supported by Ami-chan, and the rest of the 15th generation.
This past year, I've had the chance to try many things. Acting work, Hinacamera... And I produced the 8 member Boku no Taiyou stage. I believe Boku no Taiyou is the best at conveying the charms of the current AKB.
I've spent my 20th year grateful for those around me. I'm glad to have had many new experiences at 20.
This year, I want to make something bloom, even if it's small. I'd be happy if it was a big flower, but for me it's more important to bloom a flower that can grow together with everyone.
I hope to be a 21-year-old who can grow together with Team K.
I have nothing but gratitude for everyone. I wonder where my energy comes from. I realised it comes from all of the fans, the members, and the staff, so thank you all very much!
The sun doesn't cry, right? I want everyone to... I want to be everyone's sun, and live my idol life to the fullest, so everyone can watch me and be happy.
This is the 8th birthday stage of me, who loves singing and dancing. I'll do my best to increase the number of fans who came to watch me.
Sometimes I hear people wondering if I should graduate, but I hope everyone let's me keep dreaming here a little longer. I want to dream a bit more side by side with everyone. Look after me again this year!
