Mnet confirms Shiroma Miru joining the contestant lineup of Queendom Puzzle. Only revealed Japanese contestant so far.

 

I think for Miru, this is a good thing. Her solo songs weren't bad, but also not necessarily super successful. She was very popular on PD48, she made it to the finals, so she might have good chances!

Also, IZ*ONE/soloist Lee Chaeyeon has been confirmed too and they were both on PD48, so it'll be fun to see them together again.

16 more to go. No dominant contestant yet. Bigger chance to Miru yet, big concern over viewership rating thus, the popularity of the project group. Some Weeekly's members will join, no info how many and who they are. The show needs 4-5 popular contestants to draw eyes.
Since it has been announced to form "global" girl group, likely more Japanese and even few Chinese/Thai contestants will be revealed. Who else from J-pop idol scene can it possibly be? Hirate Yurina? Matsui Jurina?

 

Lol no, Techi and Jurina both have had mental health issues, I wouldn't put either in a kpop group.

Man, Bora is giving another competition a go? She's too good for Cherry Bullet alright (plus their new song sucks)

I do like Weeekly but they've stalled pretty much it seems. Monday is by far the best singer but her looks aren't ideal. Jihan is the best visual but her singing is merely so-so.

Still, no dominant contestant. Sorry. The show will flop at this rate.
Mnet revealed the group to be formed will be project group where concurrent membership allowed.

Aside from Miru, denied Nako and Hitomi, Jurina was the only big name 48 contestant of PD 48. I named her just for that reason, if Mnet would pick another 48 contestant off that show, it likely would be Jurina. Techi just because she had been under a Korean company. It could be a good media exposure for her if she wanted to work in K-pop.

I saw that Cherry Bullet's latest EP was their best selling release, like 10 thousands more copies.

There are already better vocalists than Monday in the show, the group will sound okay even if someone cannot sing that well as long as there is either Kei or Bora. Weeekly being shelved may have something to do with Jiyoon's exit.
