I've had it turned on all the time! I've just checked again and I can confirm that I can view embedded videos with that option selected to be on. I wonder if something else is involved?

If someone is totally bored, you can double check the Catalog Numbers of the singles. I just started making a spreadsheet for myself and found some discrepancies. Some examples:

    BINGO!
    Wiki: DFCL-1378 (Limited Edition, CD+DVD)
Physical Disc: DFCL 1378-9 [it has two discs, which usually means two numbers]
    Reference: https://www.discogs.com/release/15126510-AKB48-Bingo

    Oogoe Diamond
    Wiki: NMAX-1001/1002 (Theater Edition, CD+DVD)
    Physical Disc: NKZM 1001~2
    Reference: https://rateyourmusic.com/release/single/akb48/大声ダイヤモンド-theatre-edition/

P.S. You need a password to view the King Records catalog
    https://kingrecords.net/login/

Bonus for the totally anal: there is no dash between the label code and the number

Update: It might just be for the early singles. I don't have them all, but I don't see any other problems up through RIVER (not including the dash that shouldn't be there and the tilde that should).

Background: I am digitizing my "Cristafari California Collection" that I "inherited" several years ago. As part of that effort, I am creating my own catalog.

Before I go into too much detail, here is some photographic evidence:

    sakura no Ki.jpeg

Things to note: no dash after the four letter prefix and the tilde is small (some pages use a large tilde).
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Sakura_no_Ki_ni_Narou

    Katchuusha.jpeg

Note: no more tilde, but a slash when both a CD and DVD are included.
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Everyday,_Kachuusha

Others that use a slash, not a tilde.

    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Flying_Get
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Kaze_wa_Fuiteiru
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Ue_Kara_Mariko
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/GIVE_ME_FIVE!
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Manatsu_no_Sounds_good!

    Other corrections:
Some pages list the theater edition contents, but not the Catalog Number.
    NMAX 1120
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Kaze_wa_Fuiteiru

    NMAX 1121
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Ue_Kara_Mariko
[This one really hurt. The theater edition contains a song centered by Paruru that finished number 1 at Request Hour]

    NMAX 1128
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Manatsu_no_Sounds_good!

And that is as far as I have gotten. Note that the Cristafari California Collection is not complete, missing some of the early singles, but does have all of them starting with Oogoe Diamond up to the point when he moved to Japan. More updates to follow.

And in today's installment: prices. After giving the correct Catalog numbers for the theater editions, I realized I didn't include the price. If you look at the pictures above, you will see two prices. The standard prices are

    税込 ¥1,600 (tax included)
    税抜 ¥1,524 (+ tax)
    with theater editions being less
    税込 ¥1,000 (tax included)
    税抜 ¥952 (+ tax)

All of the above theater editions had this standard pricing, but some wiki pages gave the tax-included price and some gave the without-tax price. Note, a few oddballs gave one of each, e.g., 1,524 and 1,000.
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Sakura_no_Ki_ni_Narou

My first thought was that the wiki should be consistent, either all with or all without. But then I came to Mae Shika Mukanee when King Records decided to only use the without tax price, e.g., ¥1,524+税. (this is now illegal - see the P.S. below)

I have now worked through Kokoro no Placard, and the same issues remain with the labels: using a dash where there is a space and using a tilde where there is slash.

    Other issues:
    Manatsu no Sounds good!
NMAX 1128 theater edition 税込 ¥1,000 (in the above post, but without the price)

    Gingham Check
NMAX 1131 theater edition 税込 ¥1,000 (税抜 ¥952) (both prices on the label)

    Eien Pressure
    NMAX 1140 theater edition ¥1,000

P.S. Since April 1, 2021, price labels must include tax.
"From April 1, a new Japanese law mandates that all displayed prices include an after-tax figure that includes sales tax. Whether in catalogues or on shelf tags, products and services may no longer be labeled in a format that includes a base price "plus tax.""
    https://matcha-jp.com/en/10436

Previously, retailers could get away with not listing the total cost of a product and simply adding one of the following three phrases to prices: “+ 税,” “税抜き,” and “本体価格,” which respectively translated to “plus tax,” “not including tax,” and “base price.” Under the new rule, such phrases which leave the final price vague, or essentially make the consumer pre-calculate the total cost before purchase, will be banned.
    https://japantoday.com/category/bus...st-reflect-final-cost-with-sales-tax-included

[Since prices without tax are now illegal, maybe the wiki should only use the with tax price, even if the without tax price was legal at the time the single was issued.]

I have a theory that explains most of what I am seeing: King Records' left hand doesn't know what its right hand is doing, in other words, the people who manage the website never talk to the people who actually produce the singles. Given this, it makes some sense that the wiki follows the website and not the actual product.

However, as we have seen, sometimes reading the website lets us down. Here is another example:
Kibouteki Refrain does not have any Catalog number for the theater edition
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Kibouteki_Refrain
    What is missing:
    Theater Edition NMAX-1181
(This is correct on both the English and Japanese wikipedia pages, and on the four physical copies Cristafari left me.)

If the theater editions are fixed, that leaves only the pricing. Given the new law, it makes sense to me to give the with-tax price in the wiki. My last purchase was Rumor: the website says
    KIZM-90697~8
¥1,700 (税抜価格 ¥1,545) [I chuckled seeing that they like BIG RED LETTERS]
    https://www.kingrecords.co.jp/cs/g/gKIZM-90697/

The package itself does not use big red letters, but does say
    ¥1,700
    (税抜価格 ¥1,545)

If you don't want to change all the without-tax prices to with-tax prices, you could just add +tax to each of without-tax prices.

The Theater Edition of 'Moto Kare desu' is actually ¥1,100, I can confirm that as I have a copy. The info appears as follows:

    IMG_6089.jpeg

Although the price is correct in the Wiki the catalog number is different, it's shown there as 'NMAX-1372'.

The Theater ed for 'Rumor' is also ¥1,100 (the Wiki is wrong) but for 'Shitsuren' it's ¥1,000.

@sscrla Do you have the Theater eds for the releases after whatever is the most recent one in the 'CCC'? I'm pretty sure I have them all back as far as 'Kuchibiru ni Be My Baby' although I know I'm missing the one for 'Tsubasa wa Iranai'. I also have Theater eds for the 3 most recent albums (including one for 'Thumbnail' signed by my current kami-oshi at Makuhari in 2017 ;)). Would you like me to check them later today to confirm any details?

I don't own them, but I did notice that they raised prices on the web.

    Sustainable was 1047 (952) and 1676 (1524) for a regular edition

The prices went up for Shitsuren, Arigatou to 1100 (1000) and 1700 (1546) These are not the prices in the wiki.
    https://www.kingrecords.co.jp/cs/g/gNMAX-1346/
    https://www.kingrecords.co.jp/cs/g/gKIZM-90659/

Note that the URL contains the catalog number.

The prices for Rumor in the wiki are also the old prices.

P.S. I see NMAX-1385 for Moto in the wiki (and it hasn't been edited recently)

I must have been looking at the catalog number on the 'Rumor' page by mistake. My copy of 'Sustainable' has 952 without tax, then 'Shitsuren' has 1,000 and 'Rumor' has two prices on it - 1,000 without tax and 1,100 including it. My regular copies of 'Shitsuren' have 1,545 without tax.

Some possibilities. The wiki editors get information from the King Records release page at the time of release, not from the catalog page. Perhaps they raised the prices after having already sold and shipped copies of Shitsuren, so the catalog page I linked was updated after those first sales.

@sscrla Can you share the spreadsheet with us/me, so I/we can go through the singles and make the necessary changes? (Also haven't forgotten about your NHK Kouhaku Senbatsu request, I'll get to it eventually... I promise :^^;:)

I haven't gotten far with SKE48, but there is one typo I found.

    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Aishiteraburu!
    Single
    Aishiteraburu (アイシテラブル!)

The exclamation point is missing from the Single title (it is definitely on the single).

P.S. Avex trax uses dashes in their catalog numbers, as does the wiki, so they don't have the same problem as King Records.
P.P.S. One of the early singles just gives the full price, 1600, and doesn't show the without-tax price. The wiki shows the without tax price. The others all show both prices, but with the full price first.

And in today's edition of Wiki anomalies:

    Coquettish Juutai Chuu
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Coquettish_Juutai_Chuu

    our wiki has
AVC1-83177/B (Theater Edition, CD) / ¥0,952 [why is it always the theater editions?]

    Printed on the physical disc:
    AVC1-83177 [no B]

On the inner paper spine (the part of the back cover that is folded in)
    AVC1-83177, AVC1-83240

On the outer paper spine (the separate piece that is outside the plastic case but inside the plastic wrap that covers the CD)
    AVC1-83177

So why does it have two catalog numbers, and what is AVC1-83240?

Google gets me one reference that has both, just as the inner spine does.
    https://video.dmkt-sp.jp/ft/b0000178

The Japanese wikipedia has 83240 but not 83177
    "SKE48 『コケティッシュ渋滞中』(劇場盤版)エイベックス・ミュージック・クリエイティヴ、2015年3月31日。AVC1-83240"
    https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/コケティッシュ渋滞中

Also, the artist for track 3 is not correct. The Japanese wikipedia gives track 3 as
    「僕は知っている」(DOCUMENTARY of SKE48)

    The physical CD has
    03. 僕は知っている (DOCUMENTARY of SKE48) printed on it.

P.S. I just noticed that Sakura no Shiori is another page with the theater using the with tax price while the other editions use the without tax price. It must be something about Sakura!

Today is NMB48's turn, but first I want to write about how important the wiki is. The wiki is a key source for all kinds of information, from all the B-sides that Mako was on to the set list for a stage she was in, and I use it all the time (and not just for Mako). To me, it is important that the information in the wiki is accurate. One way to make sure the information is accurate is to use primary sources, which in this case are the physical singles.

    1. The track list for Virginity is missing a key track, which throws the track list off.
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Virginity

That track may be the sexiest track on any single in the 48 Group. When I first played it, it sounded like someone mopping the floor, but it is actually the (simulated) sound of Milky taking a bath!

As printed on the disc itself:
    4. みるきーのちゃぷちゃぷ
歌ではありません Type A (not a song)

Since this is track 4, Virginity (off vocal) is track 5, etc.

    Milky.jpeg

The Japanese wikipedia shows that it appears as track 4 on Types A, B, and C, but not the theater edition.
    https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/ヴァージニティー

    2. The description and track list for Sekai no Chuushin wa Osaka ya 〜Namba Jichiku〜 is not accurate.
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Sekai_no_Chuushin_wa_Osaka_ya_〜Namba_Jichiku〜

I have YRCS-95024 which is Type N, and consists of a CD and two DVDs, not one.

The first video on the first DVD is not the Team N 3rd stage as stated in the wiki, but Ibiza Girl. Also, the wiki leaves out the 4th video, which is a video of
    Kotani Riho (Miaki Riho) skydiving

    Screen Shot 2022-06-17 at 9.44.54 AM.jpg

Here are the videos on the 2nd DVD.

    Screen Shot 2022-06-17 at 9.40.15 AM.jpg

Thus skydiving is number 4, but Team N 3rd Stage is not number 1. However, if you click on Next Page on DVD 1, you get Team N 3rd Stage with tracks from 1 to 18 (not 0 to 17) making Team N 3rd Stage as the 5th video and Request Hour (item one on the 2nd DVD) the 6th video. In summary, there are eight videos on two DVDs, not seven videos on one DVD.

    3. On the main page under stage albums you find Koko ni Datte Tenshi wa Iru, which is not a link to the album, but to the stage. I think you should add two notes to that page:
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Team_N_3rd_Stage

    a. The album is YRCS-95016, and the price is 2857 + tax
    b. The medley, listed as M17. Medley (メドレー), is not on the stage album.

A final note for today: if you like facts, you might want to check some of your own singles. I found doing this has been very educational, even if I "don't know much about the [Japanese} I took" (that's a Sam Cooke reference, which you might be aware of if you had parents or grandparents who listened to US pop in the 60s or watched the movie Witness with Harrison Ford. I bet Dutchie knows it, as it hit #1 in the Netherlands in 1986 after the movie came out).

i was referencing the wiki for team n 3rd stage the other day and wondered why it claimed there was a medley on there and why the "tracklist" was ordered that way.
and i noticed that my version of "koko ga rhodes da, koko de tobe!" doesn't even have the title song on it (but... why?)
also wondering what determines whether discs come with a bromide or not.
the inserts for "team b 2nd stage" are swapped. ie the tracks are listed where the cover should be and the cover art is on the rear. is this a cheeky reference to the image itself being someone's backside, or are they all like that? i don't have another to compare.

While the medley is not on the stage album, it is on DVD 1 of Sekai no Chuushin wa Osaka ya 〜Namba Jichiku (as number 18, as mentioned above).

As noted before, this has been very educational for me. Today, I realized there are lots of ways to say that a track has no singing on it. Here are four ways.
    off vocal ver.
    (instrumental)
    off vocal
    (off vocal)

These are all from 48 groups in Japan. Test your knowledge by matching the correct group to each version of "no singing." Answers will be given at the end. [Hint: all my CDs are from 2015 and before.]

But first, some notes on SDN48.
The main page lists a Stage Album SDN48 1st Stage "Yuuwaku no Garter" The link takes you to
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/SDN48_1st_Stage#Studio_Recording

The top part of that page tells you that there is a 1st generation version of the stage and a 2nd and 3rd generation of the stage. The Studio Recording portion gives the Catalog number correctly as UMCA-10004/5 (2CD)/ ¥3,800. What is missing is that Disc 1 (4) is the 1st generation version and Disc 2 (5) is the 2nd and 3rd generation version. That should be easy to add (the track lists are the same, so the one listed is fine as it is).

    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Ai,_Chuseyo
The track listing does not match the physical CD.
    Type B
Track 3: 愛よ 動かないで / レイチェル which in English is Ai yo, Ugokanaide / Rachel.
Now Rachel is indeed Nishikunihara Reiko, whose nickname is Rachel, but Rachel is what is on the disc.
I suggest changing the name of the artist for Track 3 to Rachel but leave the link pointing to
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Nishikunihara_Reiko

This afternoon, I started on the subgroups. Right away I came to Not yet, Suiki BABY
    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Suika_BABY

There are no catalog numbers given, but there is a note "It was released in four versions: three CD+DVD editions and a CD-only theater edition." I was able to find a complete listing for Not yet on the Columbia Japan website:
    https://columbia.jp/notyet/release.html

On it, you will find there are four versions:
    COZA-653-4 Type-A ¥1,524+税
    COZA-655-6 Type-B ¥1,524+税
    COZA-657-8 Type-C ¥1,524+税
    COCA-16616 Type-D ¥952+税

Note that there is no theater edition 劇場盤
    see also
    https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/西瓜BABY

Any editor who is a Not yet fan can check the Columbia Records page for the other singles.

    Enough for today.

And now for the quiz answers:
off vocal ver. NMB48 and AKB48
    (instrumental) HKT48
    off vocal SKE48
    (off vocal) SDN48

While most groups use some version of off vocal, I think the HKT48 pages should be changed to (instrumental) since that is what is on the discs.
