But first, some background. One of the first times I made a suggestion for the wiki, I gave links but was asked to tell what was behind those links. By doing so, it would be easier for the wiki editor. If you look at my Matsui Rena post, 90% or more is the references, none of which will go into the wiki.

Also, if you have a graduate that you like, you can help by doing something similar to what I did.
    1. Copy the Kanji name.
    2. Google the name and find the Japanese Wikipedia entry (48pedia stops at graduation as far as I can tell).
    3. Open our wiki page for comparison.
In my case, I was just looking at movies and tv shows, so
    4. Go the the last few entries in our wiki. They will have both Japanese and Romaji.
    5. Look for the same Japanese entries in the Japanese Wikipedia. Here is where you are likely to find entries missing from our wiki.
    6. Click on the link in the Japanese version. That will take you to a page just for that show or movie. Search for the member's Kanji name on that page.
    7. Search for the title on google. That should give you other pages, e.g., the show or movies official site.
    8. Search for the member on those pages.

Note that you don't need to read Japanese to find information, but I certainly needed machine translation.

The following is based on Yuko's Japanese Wikipedia page
    https://ja.wikipedia.org/wiki/大島優子

Here are some entries missing from our wiki.

She marries Eiichi, but is distressed to see him and his family still unable to forget his former wife, Chiyo, whom he had bereaved. However, he lowers his head and says, "I want you to scold me more," and "I want to protect this house and my family. Please lend me your strength." Seeing Eiichi bowing to her, he withdraws his offer of separation. Thereafter, she supports Eiichi in both his private and public life.

She accompanied Eiichi on his private diplomatic missions after he retired from the business world, and continued to support him as his wife until his death.

Just checking, have you by any chance watched this and can confirm that her name is Akari? 朱里 can be read as both Akari and Juri; out of the 8 Akari's that we have on our wiki, two of them are spelled as 朱里 and out of the 2 Juri's that we have, 1 of them is also spelled as 朱里. I've put it as Akari, but just out of curiosity.

It's easily missed with Rena's page being so long, but this was already on there ^^

If this isn't in response to a conversation the two of us have had, then ignore my comment, but if it about our conversation, I'd like to say that I never asked you for full references with links and everything - just to provide a romanisation, where you can.

You've put a lot of effort into your last two posts and like you said, majority of it will not go on the wiki. As far as I'm concerned, it's the most helpful if you simply provide a list that looks like: [Kanji name of movie], [Romaji name of movie], [year it was released in] (and if it's easy to find, [name of character that was portrayed]). If you can't find the romanisation, it's fine; it's just merely helpful.

Also, I've told you this before, but explaining how to navigate google or the wiki is really condescending and I find it rather rude.

I appreciate the effort you're putting into this stuff and try to get our wiki to be full of accurate resources, but I would really appreciate it too if you could do it in a nice way and don't explain things to use like we're 5-year-olds. We know how to compare two lists; it's just that with a full time job and many responsibilities as adults, we might not always have the time to randomly decide today we'll go and compare a random person's name on wikipedia.

Everyone's got their own interests, and mine is mostly concerned with concerts. I like updating setlists and stuff like that, so I put an effort into those. Seeing as the most recent concerts and even HKT48's and SKE48's tour are more or less complete, I'd like to think it's clear that I understand how to google things, and use wiki pages and other resources.

I really appreciate your detailed posts, but please understand different people have different priorities and interests. Mine lie with concerts, yours often seem to lie with acting roles and media appearances. There are some people on here who are into JKT48 or Team SH or Hinatazaka and provide info for those groups. I'd be really happy if you could simply provide them without telling us how to find the information. We know how to find the information, there's just a lot of members and only so many hours in the day that some of us won't feel the need to randomly look up a member and add new information. We'll add what we come across. If there's something that we've missed, it's fine simply to let us know it exists and not tell us how to look up things. I hope you understand where I'm coming from.

MyDramaList says it is not Akari.

    Jisho says that 朱里 is

"Syuri is a Japanese professional wrestler, shoot boxer and kickboxer, better known simply as Syuri (sometimes transliterated as Shuri)."

Until someone watches episode 2, we won't know. The video links I can find all go to websites I don't visit for various reasons.

Sacrla, it would be nice if you actually acknowledged what Marlene is saying about your condescending requests, because I agree. It’s rude. And this isn’t the first time you’ve been called on it.

At some point people are just going to stop reading your posts. Personally, as of today I’ve decided that I will mentally mark you as an ignored member. I will leave your Google translations to other editors.

Anyway, I came here to say that I will be creating concert chronology charts for NMB, HKT, NGT, and STU in the coming weeks. I will start with HKT, because as Marlene mentioned there are several HKT concerts that are missing from the wiki.
I’m also going to update the old Team 8 live performances page, and perhaps make a chronology chart for Team 8 solo concerts. Lastly I will make concert pages for solo concerts that are missing from the wiki (Takamina’s Birthday concerts, etc).

109 (Marukyuu) is sung by Senbatsu members this time. I was searching through 48pedia and it says it's sung by Team A, however, you can clearly hear non-Team A members singing due to the song having numerous solo lines. Yukirin, Chiyuu, Sae, Mayuyu and Saaya's voices are the most clear ones I could recognise, and they're all from either Team K or Team B.

As always, thanks for the wiki editors and other contributors :)

The participating members list below lists members from all 3 teams, so it was a quick fix to exchange the 'Team A' in the tracklist for 'Senbatsu' ^^

Sounds like a graduation to me, but she is still on the official site as a member. (from DerKaiserZen in her thread)

    http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/Tominaga_Yu

Thank you very much for your warm support for NGT48.

This time, we received a request from Yu Tominaga to withdraw from her activities, and as a result of discussing her future activities, we have decided to end her activities as NGT48 today, August 16th (Tuesday).

    https://ngt48.jp/news/detail/100005401

Update: she is no longer on the official site. I will move her thread to graduated.

On the topic of NGT48, does anyone know why they're listed as "NGT48." rather than "NGT48 1st Generation", "NGT48 3rd Draft" and "NGT48 2nd Generation" on the wiki, like is the case with STU48?

But they were all separated into "Team" 1st Generation & "Team" Kenkyuusei back then, ignoring how they entered the group (Gen audition or draft). Because of that I see no need to add a "3rd Draft" category, IMO it should only be: NGT48 Members / 1st Generation / 2nd Generation / Kenkyuusei .

I've discovered that the page with the period on the end is linked from 'NGT48 (Promoted Members)' on http://stage48.net/wiki/index.php/NGT48. Looking at its history it was created on July 7th 2021. It hasn't been archived on the Wayback Machine but the main page without the period has been. There's an archived version for Aug 27th 2021 which has the 'NGT48 (Promoted Members)' link to the page with the period. The next oldest version is dated June 28th 2021 and contains the following:

    Screenshot 2022-08-16 at 19.31.06.jpg

IMO the page without the period should revert to this (same as the equivalent STU48 page) and the one with the period should be deleted. However I haven't really been following NGT48 very closely over the past 2 or 3 years so if the 'Promoted Members' link is preferred I'm fine with that but it needs to link to a more relevant page.

I've not been following NGT48 closely for a while now either, but the website also has them separated into 1st Gen, 3rd Draft Gen, 2nd Gen and 3rd Gen: https://ngt48.jp/profile

If that's how they're officially grouped, I feel like it'd make sense to put them into those 4 categories, and add "Kenkyuusei" to 3rd Gen members, and if any of them get promoted, we can treat it similar as to how it's done with NMB48's Team BII?

It's not like how it was with NMB48 when they dissolved their teams, they were only categorised as "NMB48" or "NMB48 Kenkyuusei",

The thing with the dot was initially created, from what I remember, with JKT48, when they dissolved their teams and also dissolved their Academy (aka their Kenkyuusei system), so basically all members of JKT48 were just considered members of JKT48, no teams and no differences in rank, just one big group. Now, though, I think for JKT48 as well, it should also be changed to "JKT48 Promoted Members" rather than "JKT48.", because they do have trainees again now.

EDIT: BEJ48 also uses the dot because "BEJ48 doesn't have any teams, but the members are regular members."

New topic. I am often confused, but the wiki says that the current Team K stage is Saka Agari 2022.04.25 - (replacing RESET), but the recent JLODs uploaded are all Boku no Taiyou.

Maybe because the team shows are uploaded in the AKB48/OUC48 channel?
    here : https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCfmrcEdes7yDtEISGPM1T-A/videos
idk why they do that though hahaha.
Also yeah the wiki might be missing info about the current (from 2021) Boku no Taiyou stage,
I found more info here (https://48pedia.org/「僕の太陽」リバイバル公演_(2021年開始))

While that is believable, and probably what happened, there's also a lot of non-K members performing, including most obviously Mion and Yuiri. Even in the 6/22 performance--which lacks any superstar performers--while the two who are probably most well-known (Ranran, Hinana) are, admittedly, from Team K, half the members present are from Team 4 (Okarina, Kurosu, Tada, Ayamin).

It does appear that the Himawarigumi 1st Stage page is missing information on this second revival (instead it acts like the 2016 Revival never ended).

Boku no Taiyou isn't a Team K stage, it's just a stage that they're performing with random members. Yesterday's performance included Komiyama Haruka, Ma Chia-Ling (both Team A), Ichikawa Manami, Shimoguchi Hinana, Kobayashi Ran, Yumoto Ami (all Team K), Sato Kiara and Kurosu Haruka (both Team 4).

If you look on the official AKB48 website at the theatre schedule, you'll see that they're listed simply as "'Boku no Taiyou' Stage", whereas team stages are listed as, for example, "Taguchi Team K 'Saka Agari' Stage", or "Asai Team B 'Idol no Yoake' Stage".

    Screenshot 2022-08-17 at 10.22.09.jpg

It's a Himawarigumi Stage. The wiki typically only lists the members as per shonichi performance, which was many years ago, but if you want a more detailed list with recent line-ups and unit compositions, there's this incredibly comprehensive Google Doc. You can find it on the AKB48 Primer, which was created by @theater_akb48 on twitter.

Thanks to everyone for straightening me out. I got confused because the last three uploads all had Team K members in the thumbnail. I have looked at the calendar before, and I should have done it this time.
