Looks like we possibly have the first AKB48 current member on Threads, at least the first one I've found - and it's none other than my kami-oshi!

To encourage people to join in with this I can offer a tip to smooth things along a little more - when you copy the URL from Instagram I've discovered that all you have to do is replace 'instagram.com' with 'threads.net' - the '@' gets automatically added when you hit Enter/Return.

EDIT: I've added group accounts for JKT, BNK and CGM but the other overseas groups don't yet have them.

 

Should we add 'Threads' column to 'Social Networks' page now that the number of people members using it is growing or should we keep it on individual pages only now that it's a "new trend" at this point?

 

Quick update:

Firstly Chori is the second currently active AKB48 member I've found with a Threads account:

Secondly it looks like at least a few current JKT, BNK and CGM members have created accounts, I'll try and go through them later.

Finally, something I've only just learnt is that Threads is blocked in EU countries (the first time I've ever found a benefit of the UK leaving) so that's going to be a problem for Stage members from there. (It's blocked for data protection reasons.)

Thanks, I've added it to her Wiki page. I've found a few more accounts today which I've added to the Wiki including a number of ex-AKB members such as Mikichan, Maryagi, Miyumiyu, Komari, Annin and Moekyun, also Suzuran and Minarun. However I also found 5 current SKE members - Makiko, Chikako, Miyomaru, Kaho and Aaaya. Further searches for current SKE members proved fruitless so I've stopped looking for now and I'll try again in the next few days.

With overseas groups, the BNK and CGM member accounts I thought I'd found all turned out to be for fan clubs, presumably as there's only one for each member I'm guessing they might be kind of organised. There are though a number of official ones for JKT members which I haven't yet added.

Finally to say that I'm only posting links in member threads if there's photo content worth sharing as I'm aware that for many people in Europe there's otherwise just going be a annoyingly dead link. However I think I won't post Mikichan's photo of her husband fast asleep.

Should we add the new unit names to members' pages? I don't want to fully erase the teams yet since they're still intact, but maybe, as an example, we could put "Kashiwagi Yuki is a member of AKB48's Team B and also a member of 10nen Sakura." I'm asking since that's how they're officially grouped for HADO-kai and there's also some merch out now.

For reference, these are the units:

• 3-15th Gen: "10nen Sakura"
• Team 8: "Sayonara Janai"
• Draftees + Chori + Macharin: "Koko ga Rhodes da, Koko de Tobe!"
• 16th Gen: "Dakitsukouka?"
• 17th Gen: "Wonderful Love"

 

Aren't these units just for HADO?
