I felt like introducing my newest obsession. They're still relatively new.
They seemed to became known among YUI fans because she wrote the lyrics for their newest single "I do it". And that's also why I decided to give them a chance. The first song I found on youtube was "Hitohira no Hanabira" though. It didn't take me long to love the song and the group overall. Their songs are really good and get stuck in my head.
I recommend this group if you like: YUI, ZONE, SCANDAL... and good music in general.
Been a fan since their debute.
I loved their first 2 singles, the 3rd isn't as good but it might grow on me if I give it some time. =)
Highly recomend checking them out if you haven't already.
^So far my favourite singles are the 1st and the 3rd. But that's maybe because I haven't heard Namida no Mukou as much as the others.
Overall I really love their songs. I'm a fan already.
The reason why it took me some time to check them out, was because I for some reason thought that Stereopony was a male group
Ooo, thanks for the Youtube links! I quite like Hitohira no Hanabira. It's stuck in my head after one listen. I'm listening to their other songs right now.
^hehe yeah! Hitohira no Hanabira really gets stuck in your head. Same thing happend for me. After one listen on Youtube I had to go download the song and then listen to it even more
I'm glad you liked it.
...Woah. First look/listen and already love them.
What, their first two singles were in Bleach and Gundam and their third is a collab with YUI and I just learnt about them?
Edit: Isn't that a little too much ORANGE LINEZ in I do it PV?
^I'm glad I then helped you discover them
I also loved them after first listen
Stereopony's debut album!
Release date: 6.17
Title: "ハイド、ランジアが咲いている" (Hydrangea ga Saiteiru)
2 versions: Regular and Limited (CD+DVD)
^ And I thank you for that.
It's funny that they did a Bleach song, and all I recall of the Bleach anime before I completely gave up on that trash were the good OP/ED songs. It introduced me to Rie Fu and Younha so heh. If I had endured more of the crap I probably would have learnt of this group sooner. Then again, I'm glad I stopped early.
Oh, and an album? Can. Not. Wait.
Edit: Sorry Bleach fans, if any. I just couldn't stand the anime. I fell asleep on every single episode, and had to rewatch each a few times, until I decided to stop (though I was planning on that for a while already).
More info about the album.

Stereopony (ステレオポニー) is a Japanese rock band that formed in Okinawa in 2007. They are signed onto Sony Music Japan's gr8! Records music label.
Before major debut the band was named MIXBOX, and under that name girls won grand prix at Young People Music Festival in 2007. Later they renamed to stereopony and took part in Okinawa Sound Stage '08 with song Sayonara no Kisetsu (さよならの季節) that was released as single on September 24, 2008.
Sony Debut - 1st Album
The band gained their first opportunity on the Japanese rock radio program School of Lock!. Their first single, "Hitohira no Hanabira" (ヒトヒラのハナビラ) was the 17th ending theme for the anime series BLEACH. It was released on November 5th, 2008 and ranked at #25th on the Oricon Weekly Charts. They have also performed "Namida no Mukou" (泪のムコウ), the second opening theme for the second season of the Mobile Suit Gundam 00. Their upcoming single, "I do it", is a collaboration with fellow Sony Music Japan singer YUI and was released on April 22nd, 2009.
Few months later stereopony released their debut album "Hydrangea ga Saiteiru". It debuted at #7 at Oricon Charts. After that the band started a short tour, their first - A Hydrangea Blooms. Along with tour goods there were 50 signed Score Band books in each venue for buy.
In August 2009, stereopony released new single "Smilife" which is a theme song for new Yatterman movie. Their 5th single "Tsukiakari no Michishirube" is the opening theme to Darker than BLACK season 2 and was released on 4th November 2009 and was their second single to reach the top 10 Oricon singles chart, peaking at No. 8. Stereopony's sixth single "Hanbunko" was released on September 17th 2010 and is the band's first cover; the song was originally released by Bivattchee in 2002. The 7th single, OVER DRIVE, was released on 12th May 2010 and was used for the opening theme for the Japanese drama Pro Golfer Hana.
The band's second album Over The Border was released on June 9th 2010 and reach the 12 position on Oricon chart. Their lastest single, Chiisana Mahou, was released on 8th December 2010 and was used as the first opening theme for the anime Tegami Bachi: Reverse
