I remember around last week i heard that Yumirin almost sold out her slots in the 1st round, So this is maybe the 2nd round.
And wow look at Ikeyan's sales! Last time i remember she was like 0/8 most likely.

How unfortunate they released on the same day as SixTones! They could've easily gotten a number one any other day since Hinatazaka's release on the 25th...

Probably, since the extra edition is not accompanied by a new regular/limited edition release. That 43 extra copies is basically the amount of non theater edition sold last week and considering this is a relatively old single, people that want to buy it probably already bought it.

This next part is purely a speculation. I think the release is done mainly for 2 reasons. One is to get some money from fans since they only released a single this year. The other one, which is probably the main motivation that ended up with them releasing extra edition instead of a new single is that King Records probably saw a chance for this song to be selected for Japan Record Award and maybe more (Kouhaku?) due to the song relevancy with what is currently happening in the world.

Although I'm impatiently waiting for a new single, I'd be perfectly happy if that's the reason. I really hope one 48g gets to go to Kouhaku, and I wouldn't have any issues with it if it were STU48.
