[Subbed] Nogizaka Shows Thread

Thank you very much. Been waiting for someone to sub this episode, like forever. How many times I've watched this episode wishing I understand what's going on, what each member are saying or how they feel. Really appreciate it
This is probably the most brutal Senbatsu Announcement. To this day, still can't believe Ikuchan was put all the way to 3rd row. And the torture of waiting for her name to be called. Plus the look on Kawamura and Asukachan's face. But I somehow miss this kind of episode, we'd probably never have any Senbatsu episode like this ever again.

 

I agreed with you, senbatsu in the early days are just brutal to the maximum. At least now the girls are not that concerned(compare to earlier days, or they learned how to conceal their feeling. ) anymore about their own position.

 

maybe not conceal but more like they (especially 1st gen) already "found" their places. 7 years of their journeys are not that short but at the same time, not that long too. With their the fame getting bigger day by day, their anxiety should be decreases. The things left maybe just jealousy and sort of. We can't deny they might have that kind of feeling against each other right?

About 15 seconds into the recently subbed Construction episode (ep172), right after "soshite, soshite Nogizaka-chan desu," many of them are making a hand gesture: a flat palm held over a cupped one. Can you tell me what that is supposed to mean?

 

Oh it's the Watermelon group's signature pose - as you can tell by the group's name, it's the shape of a watermelon. Nishino, Saito Yuuri and Kawago in green are doing the pose, Ito Karin and Ito Junna also part of the Watermelon group hence the pose.
