you're right WHAT! not complaining but... why?

 

I stayed away from forums and social media on Friday (Eastern American time zone) until I could watch this stage without any prejudice and I found myself thinking through a lot of it "I don't know this song". I guess that I don't know Team Surprise songs as well I do the regular singles and stage songs. Two of my favorites from T.S. were Oteage Lullaby and Kimi no C/W though, I thought the solo song was a bold addition because Takamina pretty much owned that one but Makki did an awesome job of it. It's a really good stage for a team E oshi, the dance routines are all excellent. I'm sure these songs will grow on me over time and I will get over my disappointment that there are no SKE48 singles or Team E b-sides like I'd hoped for.

 

Will Tani ever center a unit? lmao

 

I love that they made a stage of all Team Surprise songs! Finally, a stage full of songs we haven't seen performed a million times already. It's almost like a new stage

 

Ikr I really enjoyed watching this stage! It's the first time that some of these songs have been performed live ever. Wish AKB revived a Team Surprise stage.

I was so close to seeing Suiyoubi no Alice live... Well, not this time I guess (and probably never ever anyway).

Anyway, I'm really happy for this new stage. First it's fresh and not a revived stage, and, wow, so many great songs. Especially Hoppe, Tsuneru which I was playing on repeat this days. Perfect timing.

Finally watched the shonichi!

I ended up feeling like the first and second half of the show should have been flipped. It would have made a lot more sense to me to open with Bara no gishiki, Megami and Heart no vector and close pre-encore with the first 4 songs (or leave one of them in the opener and do 3 at the end). But Kinmokusei, being my favorite ballad from Team Surprise, was perfect for the final song pre-encore.

As far as the units..
I loved Saito Makiko's dancing in Oteage! She is so good. But her voice isn't powerful enough for that song so it seemed like her passionate sharp dancing was a mismatch with the music

Rara was made for songs like Kimi no c/w.

Surprsingly, the standout for me was Non-chan! I have no idea what happened while I wasn't watching, but she has this amazing air of self-possession around her now, like she is so together and with it. Also, her performance quality was really good, much better than I remember. She's really grown up over the years...

I just love Team Surprise songs so I'm incredibly glad a Team Surprise stage came into being. It's the next best thing to a new original stage I suppose. Also love that they managed to sneak a Team Z song into there!

 

completely agree about kanon, she has so much stage presence now, every costume suits her really well.
and yes! i'm really happy for Koi No Onawa being played at the theater.

 

To be honest my interest in E was pretty low after seeing some great members leave(even though I still liked several still here) but having a new stage has got me all excited about them. I really enjoyed watching it! There wasn't a single member where I felt they didn't pull their weight. The song choices were a good balance on song 'types' and it also had a bit of variety with who was right at the front(even if Rara was overall centre I only felt it heavily on Juuryoku sympathy).

During the introductions it was heart warming how much everyone cared about this and also the support to the 2 kss so sweet ;-;

 

So they're getting a stage album in September

 

Nice, I hoped they'll release other stages too
