Not to mention there are people like HRP and TeamWota on tumblr who did large orders of these cds, so it was a lot easier for people to get a hold of votes. I guess also the system changed - i.e graduates being allowed, able to not be involved etc. Its a whole new game

Before it was just acchan and yuko followed by the rest of kami 7/8, the matsuis, then the usual girls that fill up lower senbatsu with these same members just moving up or down a few ranks. Now you're not even sure who will win and strong members like paruru, the matsuis are challenging kami 7 members. You also have ske and nmb members challenging the usually lower ranked senbatsu members like kitarie, miichan and akicha for spots in senbatsu. So there's a lot more excitement this year and people have just been voting more.

With the 2nd chapter, I think that really brought a lot of attention to many of the different girls that management decided to push this year, thus bringing in a much larger influx of votes because of all the new fans of these girls, and so much is unknown about where these girls will place. A year later, probably a lot of the rankings will be more settled, so we'll see if AKB can keep the excitement up. Anyways! Voting for the actual election has completely closed, so please do send me a PM letting me know how you voted if you still haven't done so. You have about a little less than 9 hours from now to send me a PM, although it's still the sooner the better. Results for our exit poll will be released tomorrow, likely around 3 pm - 4 pm PST, which will be about 10 hours before the actual election starts, giving everyone plenty of time to discuss these final results. I'm pretty excited for them too, because I haven't put any of them in order yet. I will say though, that there looks to be quite a few changes from the midpoint results based on just when I was entering votes. Results will be posted in the SECOND post of this thread, right under the OP. I'll post a post here saying they have been released after I post them up, and I'll also tweet it out, so if you want to know the instant the final exit poll results are out, feel free to follow me @ithebigc on Twitter.

I started from the Out of Ranking section, posted that, edited in the Future Girls, posted that, etc. I figured it's better to post them as I finish them so people don't have to wait or so people have something to look at as I finish all the way up to senbatsu. Like you said, it is getting close. I'll post another update when all of senbatsu is actually done. The Umechan fan here wasn't able to verify his votes with me, so that would be the reason why [worried]
