New groups being formed. No idea what the end game is. It doesn't look like a band thing anymore, but rather a training program for people, in this case young females, to become professional musicians.
At the moment it is fine, because all the music and lyrics don't come from the girls themselves, so you can replace people and mix and match members by looks, skills etc. If they actually start writing themselves, it will become more complicated...

Those raffle teams are really random, and has nothing to do with the next single/EP. IIRC Aki-p and WMG guys will choose the setup for the senbatsu, and the B-side bands, for the singles/recordings based on their perception if the individuals fits a song. Basically nothing to do with skills, but marketing.
