    Bombardier is getting rid of its commercial aircraft program. They sold the Dash 8 Q400 to another Canadian company (the return of the de Havilland brand) and the CSeries to Airbus (now known as the A220). And today, they just sold the CRJ (Canadair Regional Jet) program to Mitsubishi, who has been struggling with its MRJ regional jet, now known as the SpaceJet.

    A well-known Canadian regional jet is now being managed by the Japanese...

    Growing number of car-sharing users don’t rent cars for driving

    Times24 Co., the leading automobile-sharing service provider, with more than 1.2 million registered users, discovered that some utilize their cars for surprising purposes.

    One respondent to the company's survey said they rented vehicles to nap in or use for a workspace. Another person stored bags and other personal belongings in the rental car when nearby coin lockers were full.

    In the aftermath of the 2011 Great East Japan Earthquake and tsunami, rental cars were also used to recharge cellphones.

    "I rented a car to eat a boxed meal that I bought at a convenience store because I couldn't find anywhere else to have lunch,"said a 31-year-old male company employee who lives in Saitama Prefecture, close to Tokyo.

    “Usually the only place I can take a nap while visiting my clients is a cybercafe in front of the station, but renting a car to sleep in is just a few hundred yen (several dollars), almost the same as staying in the cybercafe.”

    NTT Docomo Inc., which operates a vehicle-sharing service, found in a 2018 survey of 400 customers that one out of every eight users rented automobiles for purposes other than transportation.

    People also rented vehicles to watch TV in, get dressed up for Halloween, practice singing, rapping and English conversation, and even do facial stretches said to reduce the size of their face, NTT found."

    For you who love Harvest Moon Games especially for 64, Back to Nature (+ For Girls + Boy and Girl), Friends of Mineral Town (+ More, girls), and DS (+ Cute, girls).

    There'll be a revival game for this series which is based on Friends of Mineral Town (+ More, girls) for Nintendo Switch. There'll be additional character (either revival or new) and new appearance for many characters.

    Notes that Friends of Mineral Town (GBA) is a port from Back to Nature (PS1) with minor parallelization and change; and complex system (the difference from both games are many but similar game and basic system).

    It'll be released on Japan in this October (may be quick or late). It'll be released under these name:
    - Bokujou Monogatari: Saikai no Mineral Town
    - Story of Seasons: Friends of Mineral Town

    Notes that Bokujou Monogatari (XSEED/Victor Interactive Software) still focuses on Story of Seasons, not Harvest Moon anymore although the developer (Natsume) still releases the game until now.

    RIP Johnny Kitagawa.

    The man who used to be the mastermind of the Johnny's agency (well-known for boybands such as SMAP, Arashi, etc.) has passed away at the age of 87. :cry2:

    (He suffered a stroke last week, which may have led to the final countdown to his death. He had subarachnoid hemmorage.)

    I did a little research since I saw a group with the exact same name a couple years ago at an underground show in Yoyogi, and wanted to see if it was the same group....

    This particular group "Asterisk East" is brand new. They had only done a couple shows prior to this one, so they aren't the same group I saw. Although the other Asterisk group (the girls who wear red) might be the girls I saw, or they're an off-shoot. I dunno. They didn't really impress me when I saw them the first time, as far as I remember. Anyway...

    I found the girl's Twitter, as well as the group's homepage and twitter. Plus I watched some of their performances prior to this one. They are not a good idol group. And the girl who pulled the stunt, while I'll admit she's cute, she was like the most unenthusiastic performer on stage. No emotion or intensity, didn't smile, catch phrase was lame. So in my opinion the group is probably better off without her.

    last sunday in hong kong, mobs ambushed and attacked protestors at a train station as they got back from protest. ultimately the attack was indiscriminate, all commuters at the scene were attacked. attacks also occured on the streets in that district. police took an unreasonable long time to arrive and made minimal aid to the situation. at the end of that night no attackers were arrested, and there were signs that the police was actually cooperating with the triads to let that happen.

    the police and the appeal committee has officially objected tomorrow's protest, which means it will be illegal for anyone participating.
    best scenario: the protest goes peacefully, police decides not to arrest the protestors, and the triads stay in their homes.
    worst scenario: mass confrontation, beijing deems hong kong govenrment can no longer grasp the situation and sends in the army. boom.

    i can only hope for the best.
