It's official too for me that I'm not going next month, British Airways has just cancelled my flights but that's not at all unexpected and it means that I'll be entitled to a full refund. Hopefully there'll be a way I can also get a refund on my HS tickets, I can't see how the events can go ahead.
Very final nail in the coffin for my planned trip - from 3/21, Japan is now insisting that visitors from many European countries (basically Schengen area plus UK and others) must spend 14 days in quarantine on arrival and visa exemption rules are suspended until the end of April. The full list of rules is on the website of the Embassy of Japan in the UK - the list covers all countries for which rules are in place, not just the UK: https://www.uk.emb-japan.go.jp/itpr_en/New_Restrictions.html
Sorry to hear about everyone's travel plans going askew. I too had a planned trip this month that I had to postpone because of this thing. Keep safe everyone.
BBC News editor Lewis Goodall has tweeted some photos of London under lockdown in what should have been the middle of yesterday's evening rush hour: https://twitter.com/lewis_goodall/status/1245041206175969281
With physical distancing being the norm these days, I have more time to cook and experiment for myself. Especially Japanese cooking Here are some of my recommendations: Slow and artisan cooking: Icchininmae Shokudo https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCk8HTeS7wRRam6nEKZkH1eA if the video does not show watch the video here Not just about the cooking : Kuma Cooking https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCJil534CSR8m5BeQVPkTx4Q if the video does not show watch the video here Yes, there are male cooks too M's Table https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCps1bJGPPZuH1_FBfeBnSag/videos if the video does not show watch the video here
That's awesome, maybe this quarantine is what we need to actually get to some of the things we have been putting on hold due to busy schedules. As a fellow who also loves cooking, I am close to what I think are near perfect scrambled eggs - olive oil, salt, pepper, and with some grated cheese on top. Tastes great so far. I'd also love to try out some of the dishes I normally see in idol variety shows, i.e. crab cream omelette, omurice, etc. Also as a Keyaki fan I'd love to try some Keyaki home recipes like Habu's stick of guilt: Also, that bacon dish looks dope. Gotta try that.
Snoopy and the Gang sing La Bamba (in Japanese) as a Mother's Day promotion for Lotte. if the video does not show watch the video here
ohhh yessss. I do have a tray of eggs that I have to use before it goes off lolz that will fit in nicely into the plan
Speaking of eggs, I tried the Ramsay style scrambled eggs and OH MAN THEY ARE AMAZING. I highly recommend trying the make your scrambled eggs this way, granted I don't have creme fraiche so I substituted some cream and cheese instead, but it totally works. if the video does not show watch the video here
Here in lockdown UK the currently top trending video is one uploaded by TV sports commentator Andrew Cotter showing one of his dogs, Mabel, playing a waiting game to steal a toy bone from his other dog, Olive : if the video does not show watch the video here
I think it is the official sports commentary voice: "a famous win built on patience and sheer belief" that makes it a winner. He almost doesn't need the dogs.

I am isolated at home, but I never expected to be isolated at S48. Don't worry, I am not infected, so come back to S48. However, you still should wear your face masks, even here.
@sscrla I've seen that for me too. I think it happens when the forum has one of its 'unexpected database errors' so everyone is thrown out and the first person back in when it recovers appears as the only user logged in.
I recently discovered something a little different on YouTube, it's a channel belonging to someone called Tsukada Ayaka who calls herself 'Railway Crossing Girl'. In her videos she poses at various railway crossings across the Kanto region while trains go past. I find her videos to be rather absorbing but as a I'm a railfan maybe I just enjoy watching a cute girl with passing trains! These are her two most recent videos: Kamakura Enoshima Electric Railway: if the video does not show watch the video here Odakyu Line, Shinjuku: if the video does not show watch the video here Ayaka's YT channel: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCYi3oZF31VjUNcujP4Rcp7A Twitter: https://twitter.com/tsukadaayaka
I've been out for a while because now I'm working from home and I had some problems about Windows 10, my computer, the VPN product...it's a long and boring story... Anyway, I hope all the S48 members are ok and this nightmare ends soon. Take care everybody!
