Hi @sscrla don't you live in the US? Be happy, Yoasobi is going to LA https://twitter.com/YOASOBI_staff/status/1660785814983577601?t=IAJxwAlPe6ogQrfCisupWg&s=19
I did see that. I get posts from HITC since I follow ITZY who were just at Head in the Clouds New York.
88rising's most popular talent, Joji is actually a Japanese He's a Japanese pop singer but not a Jpop singer
YouTube was created to annoy you. They want to make your decisions for you, e.g., autoplay. The latest: go to a channel, and they show you what they think you want rather than the latest videos. I first noticed this about a month ago, and couldn't figure out what was going on. (this is not me) Do they really think we are all three years old and need to be spoon fed? Even a three year-old knows what they like.
10 most popular Japanese musical artists among gen Z until half of this year So the most popular idol group of today is actually Attarashi Gakkou
AKB48 on the way to 1 million monthly listeners on Spotify JKT48 on the way to 2 million monthly listeners on Spotify
Five Guys of burger and peanut fame has opened a store in Korea. The Five Guys burger chain opened its first joint in South Korea this week, and the reaction was, well, nuts. A few South Koreans queued 12 hours before the restaurant opened. Some tried to sell their place in line. Neither the humidity nor the rainy-season showers could deter them. Once inside, celebrities snapped selfies with the free peanuts. Others listed burgers and fries on resale platforms:An effort to sell two cold cheeseburgers and large fries for $76 set Korean social media abuzz. https://www.washingtonpost.com/world/2023/06/29/south-korea-five-guys-burger/
Anybody joined Threads yet? I admit I've been trying to see if any 48G (Past and present have joined).
if the video does not show watch the video here This solo song of Ayase sounds like if Yoasobi had a male vocal Free follow back for everyone
I've just joined. So far I've only imported the accounts of people I follow in Instagram and the only 48-related Thread accounts appearing in my timeline are for Tomochin and Kojiharu. Most of the Instagram accounts I follow are those of current 48G members, perhaps for now management isn't allowing them to join? EDIT: STU48 has opened an official Threads account: https://sp.stu48.com/news/detail/15848
I joined and clicked on all the people I follow on instagram. Just now, I saw a post from Tomonaga Mio, who is not on my instagram list, but now she is on my Threads list. If you are into Kpop and fashion, ELLE Korea has an account. More fashion. Vogue Japan I know David follows VOCE, which has an account
Zion Suzuki is about to join Manchester United But people here https://twitter.com/DeadlineDayLive/status/1677028390161854464?t=SlV7BEhceVjmROSPb0Qh_g&s=19 look like they saw a half black half Japanese person for the first time. They don't know Naomi Osaka is a Japan national?
Japanese data cloud company USER LOCAL has set up a subsite showing the current popularity ranking of individual Japanese Threads accounts: https://threads-ranking.userlocal.jp/ It shows the top 1000 accounts - I haven't had time to go through the list but Kojiharu is at #11 and Tomochin is at #31 while Miichan's husband Tetsuya is at #24. (At #1 is comedian Watanabe Naomi while Hiroyuki of 2ch is at #4.)
You noticed 24 but not Jun Amaki at 25! What is the connection to AKB48? You have to ask Yuko. Other fans of Jun Amaki include Nagao Mariya
'Idol' by YOASABI has many cover videos across YouTube, here's one from J-MELO host May J: if the video does not show watch the video here
Tonight I went to Dodger Stadium to watch the Dodgers play the Angels on Japanese Heritage night. As part of a special package, we were given a shirt with the Great Wave off Kanagawa and the word ドジャース (Dodgers) on the back. Shohei Otani was once again amazing. He not only hit his major league leading 32nd home run, but also his major league leading 6th triple. He also had a single, and when he came up for final time, we were rooting for a double to complete the cycle (single, double, triple, and home run in the same game), but it was a long sacrifice fly to score a run for the Angels. Here is my picture of him at the plate just before he hit his home run. P.S. Dodgers won 10 - 5.
