In remembrance of August 6. From Fuyuppi's Threads. I love my hometown Hiroshima. We must never forget it and war must never happen again. May war disappear from the world. Hiroshima Peace Memorial Day https://www.threads.net/@fuyuka_43/post/C-UUP3nyIIQ
Some words from Chiho for yesterday's remembrance: https://x.com/_ishida_chiho/status/1820709405337526581 On August 6th, 79 years have passed since the atomic bomb was dropped. I am grateful for every day and sincerely pray for the coming of a peaceful world. Through my activities, I would like to convey my message through songs.
Today, August 9th, is Nagasaki Prefectural Citizens' Day of Prayer. I must not forget, and every summer I especially think of my hometown. Every year, August 9th was the first day of school during summer vacation. I have listened to stories from people who actually experienced the war, learned from videos, and read comic books that depict the war. I hope that the children of Nagasaki today are also actively studying peace. As the number of people who have actually experienced it is decreasing, I believe it is necessary for our generation to know about it and pass it on. My grandmother actually told me this story. When I heard that story, I realized that the fact that my grandma and grandpa lived in that era and that I was born was a series of miracles. It breaks my heart to think that there was a time when attacks came from the sky and so many people looked up to the sky in fear. It is a fact that we cannot turn a blind eye to the fact that there are still areas in the world where conflict is occurring. War takes the lives of innocent people. It takes away their future. It is something that should never be allowed to happen. Let each and every one of us remember this feeling and continue to pray for peace. Let's cherish life. As an idol, I will continue to do my best to be a source of emotional support to others, so please continue to support me! Kaeda Ikeda https://ameblo.jp/ske48official/entry-12863051931.html

Not often that Jpop artists travel to my hometown (probably the last time was Babymetal at the Reading Festival in 2015) but here tonight there'll be a gig by an Osaka-based female duo called HYPER GAL: https://whatsonreading.com/venues/oakford-social-club/whats-on/hyper-gal-japan However judging by their latest MV I think sadly that their music isn't really my kind of thing: if the video does not show watch the video here Hopefully though they'll enjoy their visit here.
