Actually it's the same~ a little bit more to go then finish downloading it. It's just my connection problem. It's not other software problem. I am not to sure what happen this few days to my connection. It's a bit slow compare to last time~
Nemousu Terebi ep 4 is up in H!O AKB48 Nemousu TV Vol.4 (080804 640x480) Credit goes to artszfar for uploading there
Episode 4 has  Maimai, Miichan and Oku and they copy a show I loved to watch (Burari, tochuu gesha no tabi). The concept (of the original) is to take a train (each episode would feature a specific line) and get off at a random station, walk around and look for interesting places. Even tho it appeared to be scripted from beginning to end, it was (almost, depending on the c class celebrity host) always fun / interesting to watch - so I had high hopes for this one. I'll not comment any further because, since Maimai is in it, I'm biased anyway. If Mediafire cooperates, expect it in the Depot in a few minutes.
they didn't show any footage of the girls when they were in the bath house.... hmmm, oh well not as good as last episode but still enjoyable
So yeah, here's an overview of this week's episode of Nemousu Terebi (Vol. 4). And for the record, my brain's fried by a long day at work, and a shifted sleep pattern to stop by the post office before work, so please bear with me - this overview may not be as packed with details as the previous ones. "Choshi de bura~ri Tochuu Gesha no Tabi" - "A trip where you casually get off of the train on your way through Choshi" (Yes, that is the translation of the title.) - The three girls (MaiMai, Mii, and Manami) start out blindfolded, but then are told of the situation - via video conference (like Mission: Impossible or whatever). Pretty much the girls...er, take a trip where they casually get off of the train on their way through Choshi (as the title implies; Choshi is a major city in the Chiba prefecture); the only items they'll have on them are a camera and 5000 yen (about $45) as pocket money (and some staff members with cameras and maybe some words of advice B-)) - The girls start out at the Choshi train station, and wonder how to go about business. I think the girls try to figure out how to buy a ticket, but after talking with some of the people at the station, they learn that they can buy their tickets directly from the employee on the train itself. - The girls get off of one stops to eat tayaki, a warm pastry-like food shaped like a fish and filled with red bean paste. They all chat with the lady for a bit who in turn takes them to their next destination: a temple! - At the temple, the girls stand around some thing that looks like a giant pot filled with hot sand or w/e. I'm guessing there's incense and such involved - maybe there's some spiritual significance? (I wish I knew. ). Afterwards, the girls approach some construction workers who kindly let them through the work site (they clearly notice that they're idols, LOL). However, one of the workers asks if the girls are Perfume, another Japanese idol group (LOL, I guess idols look the same for even some Japanese folk). The girls are let up the scaffolding where they get to check out a rooftop for this pagoda they're refurbishing. - The girls walk around some more and spot a game center - and old-school looking game center (with some old folk as well, LOL). After some talking, the girls find themselves hitchhiking to their next destination, because walking's too far and the train station isn't anywhere nearby (or some junk like that). - The girls spend about an hour hitchhiking, but no such luck. (The girls even comment about how people today aren't so nice anymore.) The girls continue asking for a ride, and it looks like one guy decides to give them around - but ends up blowing them off (bugger). And then out of the clear blue, a taxi driver pulls over and gives them all a ride (and the girls are excited). - The girls get off and meander the streets a bit, before stopping buy some sort of biscuit shop (I can't read the kanji, so I can't give anymore details about it). Minegishi explains their situation, and the girls are let in, but are asked to take off their shoes straighten out their shoes in the lower area (LOL, silly girls). They all chat a bit about the food they make and the history behind the place, before one of the employees ask if they want to eat (of course, they're in a bind b/c they're tight on cash, ). The employees are kind enough to let them eat some for free, and for some reason a timer pops up (I guess it's a mini-challenge where they have to eat the biscuit things within 60 seconds of receiving them fresh off the hot plate). - Then the girls walk down the street, and chat about talking about sending mails and replies. I missed the details, but it more or less is about how Manami sent out mail to some of the girls of Team A, but they never replied to her (awww, poor thing :-(), so she asks if the girls could kindly reply to her. - The girls ask for directions for the nearest train station (I think) and then find themselves walking down a road. The talk about visiting a sentou (a public bath), and somehow some dude on a phone catches their conversation and points them over to a nearby sentou (weird!). Obviously, we can't see inside the girls' side of the bath, so we're left with just their dialogue (I didn't think anything they said was interesting - sounded like just usual chat between girls). The girls then come out and feel pretty good about their bath. - The three walk down some road before spotting the train station. At the station, they spot little girls who freak out over the fact that AKB48 is there. The three do a short bit of "Aitakatta!" (I seriously think that's their standard "public display" bit - maybe someone should request something like "Keibetsu" or "Seifuku" next time. ). The girls then board the train, count their money, and get off to meander a bit. - While walking down the street, the three talk to an elderly couple who tell them that some place of interest up the street might be closed, so they decide to run - a whole lot (LOL!). It turns out the spot is a lighthouse, which turns out to be closed (bugger...:-(). The girls are pretty sad that they missed the lighthouse (and I really don't blame them since the view around the area looks pretty nice at dusk). - The girls head back down the road and spot the guy who gave them the ride when the three hitchhiked (talk about a small world! or town? ). Anyway, he directs them to a place to eat (a place where they can eat sushi). The girls board a train, and chat about stuff (Mii seems to be talking about some pretty deep stuff, but I can't understand it - darn.) - The girls get off at the end of the line, and spot the sushi place. They dash off again (they've got a lot of energy for hungry girls) to the sushi shop, and talk for a bit to the management before finally being able to let the camera staff in. The girls whip out what little money they have left, then beg for food because they're short a few hundred yen (LOL!). So what do the girls resort to? Performing "AITKATTA!" (that's seriously the magic password to everything). - Afterwards during the credits, the girls draw up something with colored pencils (I have no clue, but it's definitely a present). The next week-s mission is also presented, but I'm not in the right condition to figure it out properly - something about a "full day nursing experience"...? I'm sure we'll find out soon enough.) Highlights: - I guess the best highlight would be the city/area itself. I really like any show where the people get to travel through different parts of the world - and in this case, a city in Chiba (and a small one at that in comparison to the usually busy Tokyo). Okay, maybe Manami being featured in an episode is pretty neat. I don't see her featured that often, and before I thought she was a pretty bland, expressionless girl. However, after seeing her on some episodes of 0ji, and especially seeing her in this week's episode of Nemousu, I think she's aight. Overall Opinion: - This episode was really self-explanatory if you just followed the context of the action, and it's not like the dialogue was super critical to understanding the whole thing. The episode's not as...dramatic (?) as the first three episodes (certainly a change of pace), but still I liked it. So there you have it, ladies and gentlemen - an overview of the show. I apologize if you guys feel short changed on some of the details - and if I make a mistake with any of the details I actually presented here. My brain's pretty shot. I'll be busy during the next few days, so I had to post this overview tonight. Anyway, I hope this all helped. Until next time, you guys take it easy. B-)
Thanks once again gideon. Without you, most of us would be lost in a world of "I wish I knew Japanese." after watching these shows. Excellent review and overview. I can't wait to go to Japan and wander around like that.
Thanks giddy for a super review. W/o subs, I just can understand a little. But you... understand A LOT. Btw, I hope someday there'll be Eng subs for Nemousu TV, like 059.
Wow... After this episode, I actually like Manami! This is exciting. I wonder when Natsuki will be on...
re: overview of this week's episode of Nemousu Terebi (Vol. 4). It's KOURO(censer). KOURO is a equipment used for burning SENKOUs(incense sticks). It filled with ash of SENKOUs. It is believed that it improves when the smoke of SENKOUs touches the place where the part of body is bad. That's why, Miichan was putting smoke on Maimai's head. It's "NURE-SENBEI", a kind of rice-biscuit coated with soy sauce. Ordinary SENBEI is dry, but this one is wet.(NURE means wet.) The master said, when you take off your shoes, you should make your shoes put in line.(It's manners.) The timer displays that the best before time for eat on hot is 58sec. It is a trip memory notebook of the equipment in the station. You can see it in INUBOU station, that's the present for viewer.( if it is not stolen.)
Thanks for the translation gideon! Miichan has appeared in every episode so far. If we only got 12 episodes, other girls (hopehopehope Hana-chan! Oh-yay!) better be appearing soon.
Oh snap! Thanks so much, ossan! I'll make whatever corrections I can. Man, I have so much to work on for Japanese...
Is the cast list available for the next episode? I would love it if Natsuki was in the episode on my birthday.
