Damn it, I haven't been able to watch Bimyo lately and this news is what I get, this really makes me sad.

WHAT?! Blah, I was going to start my Hiakri TV account next week, too.

I love the show especially because there aren't anymore konto TV shows on anymore. Such a shame... they were establishing some regular characters and everything.

Well, we know that Maeda holds the title for least appearances. Wonder if she'll show up in the last show (most likely).

What's her exact number of appearances? As I recall, she only appeared in the first episode then totally gone. Is it possible that her absence is one of the reason they end the show (sarcastic)

No money being made... and they probably only had a limited contract with the Hikari Flets people... They actually canned the whole "Hikari TV" and are going by "Flets TV" now.

It really is a shame, though. I so lulzed when Uchida popped up during the Valentine Go Renja skit. Like seriously.

Sigh, I definitely will miss this show.

She was only in for one episode, the first one. I think it's not her absence, could be a AKS or HikariTV decision to end the TV Show.

I too, enjoyed this show and it's really a shame that they have to end it. Looking on the bright side, ending something could also mean a beginning of something better for them.

I'd like to theorize that they're ending the show now to make way for the Senbatsu elections. It sounds like an insane conspiracy but hear me out -- last year around this time Sakura kara no Tegami aired, followed by Majisuka Gakuen 2. And then as you remember Tomochin's roles in both those shows wasn't exactly "good" in the eyes of the general audience. After these shows was the election, and as we all know Tomochin dropped in rankings. Obviously it's not a direct correlation, I'm not implying that, but what I'm thinking is that management doesn't want people to have notions of these girls in their Bimyo archetypes in their head going into the elections. (I particularly imagine Ucchi's case - who would want to vote for a rock lol).

But of course, Bimyo is just one in a bazillion shows AKB is in, so you're free to disregard my rant

Nonetheless, I will miss this show dearly. It eclipsed AKBingo for me in terms of the show to wait for every week.

Actually, the role of "the rock" and "the monk" as a cameo that is always unrelated with situation is what Ucchi can use to this year's election campaign. I really found her presence funny. And Bimyo don't have roles that can be negative influent for any girls anyway because it's all for joke. Who will be mad on Yuko for being perfectly drunken middle-aged guy?

However, A lack of Acchan appearance implies that this show is not important much for management's view. (General audience don't see it anyway since it's exclusive for mobile, it's more like fan-service) they might have the contract to produce this show for Hikari TV for a specific number of episodes, so when that contact is over, they just decide not to continue it.

I like your analysis. If it's true, it can explain the famous mystery
I haven't watched Sakura but I personally love her role as a traitor in Majisuka. At least it creates differences and provides the excitment for audiences to keep them wating to know what's going to happen next. Her character in Majisuka 1 was kinda bitchy but I really didn't see strong reaction back then. Now that you mention it, it might be the case as she turned into a villian in season 2
I don't see why their roles in Bimyo would be a problem but maybe the wotas don't feel the same way
