I found this while watching the latest Tobira episode:

surprisingly I didn't find it mentioned anywhere, strange for a box released in July.

 

It's not strange at all, Bimyo S1 ended on Winter 2012 season (March 2012) usually boxset for drama/show comes out 3-6 month after the show ended,so July release was expected, too bad it wasn't part of DVD sets that was made available to commercial retailers in this past August...

Ah.. that makes sense..

I guess the reason might be that this show sort of flight under the radar for most people and as comedy skits show, some of the skits need extensive knowledge (both Japanese and the sources they parody) to be fully enjoy. (though on the flip side, some are easy to get even without knowing what they are talking about.)
