It seems she changed her name from kaede to fu (well, how to read it).

 

She said Legally change 4th... elementary - Jr high school.

She said the reason was no one ever called her Kaede. There Kanji was probably the same.

In a slightly more positive note for those Fuu oshis worrying away like me, in her mobame from this morning she basically says what's reported in the Nikkan article about her condition and that she doesn't have a set length for the hiatus, but that she'll continue doing things until the May 6th HS event. She is still (less frequently) sending mobame and seems cheerful at least in those, and hopes to do a showroom soon.

Odd timing, with Harurun graduating and Fuuchan going on hiatus, Osaka-born girls. Talking with some Japanes wotas they mentioned her post read as if she was planning on graduating soon (had both she and management known about her condition long ago they would have made her rest during all these irrelevant performances in order to make her debut with the Team S members).

 

I'm still catching up on mobame backlog... but it is nice that immediately after Fuu's announcement other STU members I follow (Yumirin, Chiho, Mitsuki, and Torobu) all posted supportive messages about her taking a restful break, and their own 2s with Fuu. It's comforting to she has good friends among the members, and also that everyone is comfortable talking about this. I've certainly seen in other groups where a hiatus is announced after a period of uncertainty and no one wants to talk about it. This at least seems to be being taken openly and with an encouraging atmosphere.
