She's gonna sell a crap ton of photobooks but i'm not sure she's gonna be able to surpass Neru. Neru was a monster that had over 190k, Mizuki I predict will peak at about 165k-175k

 

Zuki is monster.she will peak 180k sales.

 

Gonna short her PB numbers: 110k. Her SHOWROOM numbers didn’t go as high as I expected.

According to ORICON NEWS, the photo book's first printing is 140,000 copies, but its sales is beyond the publisher Shogakukan's expectation, so the publisher decides to reprint 10,000 copies more. Total 160,000 copies (140,000 copies + 10,000 copies + 10,000 copies) are printed before the on-sale date of 21 January 2020.

 

It was a bit underwhelming... but with tons of lingerie.

I just got it today and I feel adequately whelmed. I thought it was really good, actually.

I wouldn't say its as good as Passport or Intermission but those are modern classics. I would say its comparable to Neru's PB. Which is good.

 

Well, both Passport and Intermission were being published by Kodansha, one of the top publishers in JP.

 

Yeah but its not like Shogakukan is small.

Anyway Mizuki is well on her way to be Maiyan's successor to be the face of Nogi

Zukki's Photobook sold 106K 1st week

Awesome! That beats Neru's debut.

That's an even higher week 1 than Passport.

 

Current Nogizaka is more popular than they were back then when Passport is released.
It isn't that much surprised to me that the nxt gen ace would beat their predecessor.

We shall see if Yoda can beat this PB by March.

 

Passport was released right before Influencer which sold a million copies. Maybe they're a bit more popular now but I don't think by that much.

The only Sakamichi PB's released since Passport that have sold more in the 1st week were Intermission and Nogisatsu. And maybe that one Hinata group PB. Can't remember the numbers but I think it did really well.

I think the real test will be to see the book's staying power. It was so hyped that I think the majority of people who were going to buy it probably bought it already.

Yoda I think might be able to beat it.

 

With that amount of hype I was expecting slightly more tbh, but it's really good for newer gen of Nogi to achieve this.
And yes, Nogi is so much more popular these days. Influencer hit 1M in 13 weeks, nowadays their single hit 1M in 1 or 2 weeks, so that's a lot more popular of course.

 

I, too, bought the hype. Like everyday in January was Mizuki tweeting something crazy. I thought her PB was going to do 120k. I chose a smaller number to be on the safe side. I was off by 4k. I honestly thought it would've done better. But it's still a good number, don't me wrong.

I think Yoda's will do better just because she got more visits in her SHOWROOM than Yamashita did.

 

Yamashita Mizuki's first solo photo book "Wasurerarenai hito" was released on 21 January 2020.

According to ORICON NEWS, the Nogizaka46 idol's first photo book sold approximately 106,000 copies (data collected from 20 to 26 January 2020), and tops both ORICON's Weekly Book chart and its Weekly gravure chart.

 

Mizuki 1st photobook sold in the 2nd week:

15,702 copies
