Thought this would be a fun thread. Reply with your favorite 48G song. That's right, song. Only one choice is allowed! I hope this thread can be used in the future to help newcomers find out more about awesome 48G music.
This thread is a great idea. Kudos, Jorge B. My favorite is an oldie: Shoujo tachi yo. The girls always seem to have so much fun on stage when they are performing it. Great up-beat j-pop song. And a really good big concert song.
My favorite song is: Keibetsu Shiteita Aijou. I really like this song's melody and how solo parts are mixed in with the chorus. It has a bit of darker/gloomier feel to it though compared with most 48G songs. Off-vocal version sounds good too.
Rinjin wa kizutsukanai Mysterious and gloomy, effortlessly edgy. Edit: Not that... er... weird???... version where the young girls in Team 4 pretended to be gophers(?) though
Kimi no koto Ga suki dakara. I liked the beat, then when I saw the translated words it hit home for me, and with tears in my eyes thought "who makes an upbeat sad song?" AKb does. Watching the video, towards the end, when Akicha is singing the final chorus line and she looks up slowly you can feel she's looking up to the heavens like with hope and promise. Perfect moment. It always gets crowd reaction, it seems to be a fave internationally, and up until recently still did well at Request Hour.
It's very difficult to me choose only one, at this moment the only song that came to my mind was seifuku ga jama wo suru
man this is a hard choice. I feel like I have too many favs from the 48-groups to really just pick one, but I think my choice (atm) is... Tengoku no Door wa Sankaime no Bell de Aku by SDN48. I think Kataomoi Finally by SKE48 is my 2nd fav 48-group song. It kind of switches between these two a lot over the past 2 years. My fav 48-group song use to be Keibetsu Shiteita Aijou by AKB, but it's like Top 5 now. Edit: not sure if it's necessary to talk about why it's my fav, but I will anyways even if u didn't ask cause I'm bored lol. Anyways, I just use to be a huge fan of SDN48 and it really hurt me when they disbanded and this was the song that like propelled my love for them. Just in general the 2nd single really got my involved and even tho they only lasted 2 years I thought they were pretty solid.
A tough question but I'll go with HKT48's Otona Ressha. I love the contrast between the sad lyrics and a cheerful melody/performance. Also like Haruppi's line in the intro and the costumes are one of my favorites. The MV has nothing to do with the song (at least to me) but it's still great.
hands down shoujotachi yo it makes me feel happy and that i can do anything i put my mind too (plus i like the video for it)
