edit: wow, kasai only has 1 oshi vote but is no. 8. Only 2 oshi votes for yuki out of the 48 people that included her in their list. rena only has 1 too compared to 4 for jurina. Ah and that 1 oshi vote for Fujikoso Yumi with no other votes whatsoever is good enough for 119th place.

Once again, I didn't expect Rena to be have less total votes than Jurina since I there is a huge Rena following in both E48 and S48

I am guilty of down voting Rena though since I was expecting her near the top but the results were kind of surprising

Total number of voters have increased only slightly. I guess explosive popularity growth in Japan this year did not transform into international fan scene.

Nice to see Kumi so high. I guess her role in MG2 helped a lot.

haha, I initially gave negative votes to takamina, yuko and minegishi (the top 3 last year) but then deleted the yuko one cause I figured they would just offset each other. I should have checked last year's results so I could have voted where it counted more.

Oh and of course I like them, I was voting for the result.

I’m happy with the results, an amazing podium, indeed. And Miichan, third again!!! ( to those who gave her positive votes) Some spots are quite surprising: Rena (25), Mariko (20), Sasshi (19), Kojiharu (17) or Yuuki (11). Myao (14) is surprising, too, but in a good way. Of course, Tomochin (11) is not surprising at all…

You know looking at these ranking i got a question, did the people who gave Jurina a high ranking give a negative to Rena? and those that gave a high ranking to Rena give a negative to Jurina? well besides from the few that just don't like the overly pushed Jurina and Rena.

Expected Rena to get high votes (based on the number of Rena fans in the community) and then saw that Jurina is generally more disliked than Rena in the rankings as well

So voted for J and down voted R. Disaster struck when the totals was unexpectedly different from what I predicted.

The others I voted on are just the general fare: Nacchan cause I thought she needed a high vote to rank. Then the senbatsu staples cause I see the need for them to get high votes to counter down voting. Then NMB/KKS then back to SKE

I contemplated on down voting: Yui and Milky as well but I figured they'd end up with around the middle of the pack by their normal votes that it wouldn't be needed and here they go messing me up when Yui went top 10

That's why i never vote stratigically, i simply vote down those that i dislike (Minegishi), annoyed of (Milky, Yui, Jo) or dissapointed of (Anna), likewise i voted only for members that i actually like a lot, although i'm starting to think that i'm an SKE MD rather than a Yuka oshi.

Yeah, I kept my votes simple - just voted for the girls who I thought were aight. And didn't bother down-voting anyone.

Also stuck with just 10 girls since it'd have been a hassle coming up a full list of 20 girls. (Not enough girls really grab my attention.)

That's nothing to be surprised about, it's just that most of the biggest Tomochin haters left S48 and moved there. If you dislike her enough maybe you should consider joining the other forum, you will find a lot of people that share your taste there (just saying)

I'm not really hugely familiar with any girls, except French Kiss and a couple others here and there, but I voted up some girls who kinda caught my eye, or I want to follow, or who I find interesting in some way... Next year I will probably have a better educated vote. =)

Basically at one point or another something is going to ruin or damage the Akb they love (and apparently for a lot of people that was Yuki and Itano).
